Yeah, I am with you on asteroid or other big dumb object. Given how all of this seems to drag on and putter out, a nice solid impact of some type seems both more satisfying and more likely.

If “asteroid strikes earth” is the same thing as “Trump strokes out and dies,” I’m going with that (NADT).

I hope the government crams his Sixth Amendment right to a speedy and public trial right down his throat. He’s going to file every interlocutory appeal he can during the course of the trial, challenging every adverse ruling, all in an effort to stay the proceedings and drag this out as long as he can. And if he’s convicted, he’ll appeal. Given his age he may well die during the pendency of his appeal, so the proceedings will be abated and it will be as if he were never convicted.

So he’ll be vindicated in the end.

Not to us, but to those loons who think he’s the second coming.

Sadly, I think this is the most likely scenario.

Another choice "conveniently" left out --

People are saying an elite team of wiener dogs was spotted flying into Miami looking grim and serious. Inquiring spectators heard a terse "no comment" as the pack passed by with lightning speed. On the floor behind them, a tattered map of the new Miami courthouse, stained with Pup-perorni, was found. Efforts to find out the meaning have been thus far been unsuccessful.

There could be covert operations, but you'd never know. :biggun:

If, by some amazing stroke of fate, he does manage to get re-elected (which I don't believe will happen), we'll find out if he really CAN pardon himself. In that case, I am absolutely convinced that he will try.

Actually, I'm surprised he didn't issue himself a pre-emptive pardon on January 20, 2021 at 11:45am, while he was still president and had the legal right to do so. Of course, I don't think that even he would try to issue a prospective pardon, meaning a pardon for any federal crimes he may commit in the future, which would have been necessary to get him out of this indictment.

My gut feeling is that he'll eventually be found guilty of something but he will never spend a night in jail.

Sorry for ordering off the menu, but that's what we do in Hollywood when we have lost appetite for the story.

I think if he has an honest jury he has to be found guilty. I know I'm supposed to say he's innocent until proven guilty. That's true in the legal sense and I'm not pronouncing that I find him legally guilty. But the facts just seem to clear cut in this case. I think the DOJ bent over backwards. There were subpoenas that we didn't even know about. They aren't even charging him with the stuff he returned prior to his probable crimes coming out into the open. He's only being charged with the worst of the worst documents that required not one, but two subpoenas (at least), multiple sorting through, hiding, and obstructing the return of said documents. It seems an open and shut case that an honest jury limiting themselves to evidence would have to find guilty. And I agree, he will not spend one day in prison or jail. I have no idea if he will even be sentenced to house arrest, which I think should be the minimum if he's found guilty.

While it's understandable the spokespup for the 699th would obfuscate, sources are reporting that it's becoming clear that the South Florida Dachshund Meetup Group is deep cover for activities going on in Miami. This is clearly a final training mission and indicates that there may be an amphibious attack:

On a brighter note, Eugene Debs was in jail during his campaign and received a million votes. Woodrow Wilson had it out for him and he was jailed on 10 counts of sedition. Wikipedia:
