That lady "petting" that bull moose better be awfully glad it wasn't rutting season and his cow wasn't nearby.

Mooses are NOT something you want to toy with, they ain't Bullwinkle.

Years ago we visited Yellowstone and were confronted by a bull moose just inside the southern entrance. We were the first car to stop going in, but there was already a line up coming out. A bull was bellowing to beat the banshees just off the side of the road in the bushes. He slowly walked out to the middle of the road and 'challenged' the first car in the line that was trying to leave the park.

When I say 'challenged' he walked up to about 6 feet of the car, which was just about half the size of the Moose, continuing to bellow, then lowered his head threatening to charge. After about a 3 or 4 minute standoff, he decided the car wasn't going to take up his offer to fight and he relaxed a little and bellowed again.

Then his lady friend came walking out of the bushes and sauntered across the road and into the bushes on the other side. The bull bellowed at the car again and followed her.

I'm glad the other car decided not to fight him, cause I don't think it would have come out on top.
Has everybody heard about the bird?

Awwww.... That makes me think of my still-too-recently-departed Laika who LOVEDLOVEDLOVEDLOVED yellow B-a-l-l-s. She would just chase them all over when my husband or my caretaker would throw them around the yard, and she'd try to see how many she could fit into her mount at once just to keep our other dog from being able to get one.

I adore my new furbabies Sasha and Von, but I still miss Laika a lot, too... ::wistful sigh::
