I have an awful time showing my love and compassion for those whom experience these awful life shits. I've been there, as many of us here. The kindest thing anyone ever did for me was to sit in kind silence, with me. I love you Andy. I'm sitting here with love and understanding.

Blessings. I haven’t been on FB for days and just want to send you good energy and wishes. You are experiencing so much and only time will tell where this will go. The only real useful words I can write is to remember to give care to yourself through this journey. Dan

Andy, I am so very sorry for you, your husband, and family. I am hoping for the best. I am way behind on the forum and just seeing your post about your hubby's fall today. It's about 12:30 my time, EST, so you will be having your conference sometime in the next couple of hours I guess. I am holding you close in my thoughts and sending you much love and caring and healing wishes for hubby.

Take good care of yourself. When the time comes I will be glad to share some of the things that have helped me in caring for my mother, not sure if you knew I have now moved in with her as she needs someone around 24/7.

My son-in-law is taking the kids to London. I told them I would agree with anything that they could live with. My daughter can't bring herself to leave, but they don't want to disappoint the kids, so I am good with it.

My heart is with you all too, especially with your dear daughter. The most painful heartbreaking thing I’ve ever had to live through in all of my 65 years was losing my dad so I can sympathize deeply with her on that. I’m beaming the whole family as much love and courage as I can muster. :brokenheart: :bighug:

I'm glad your SIL will be able to take the kids on the trip - they probably need a distraction. At the same time, I'm .glad your daughter will still be nearby!

Wishing you all the best!

With love,

Andy -
Here is a picture of the Old Mill in North Little Rock in the spring with a link to how and why it was built. I hope you enjoy this mini-trip to my hometown. I lived one block away from this growing up. It was our own magical playground.

Here's where I grew up, 1960 - 1965 - La Jolla, CA. This is Windansea Beach, just a block and a half from our house.

What amazing playgrounds, you guys.

Waikiki Beach was mine until I was 4. We lived .25 miles away

I can’t find a pic to post that doesn’t want a license fee. ;)

My playground was a muddy mosquito infested creek on the edge of town that turned into a muddy swamp every spring. It was good for fishing but you had to keep an eye out for the occasional venomous snake.

I really do appreciate all your kind thoughts. I'm trying to keep up with all the friends and relatives we contacted. I come home with good intentions every evening, but most of them drift away. Mostly, they will have to wait.

I suspect they'll be pretty understanding about that (at least they damn well better be!)

Your updates here re much appreciated, but if it's adding to your stress or you need that time and energy for yourself, then don't worry about here, ok? All you need to be concerned about right now is you nd your husband.

Andy, we know we can't really help. We want to help so much, but we can't.

All we can do is be here for you. So that's what we're trying to do. :lovestruck: ❤️
