When Jordan said "without objection" all other opening . . .
What exactly does "without objection" mean?
Is it 'if nobody objects' such and such will occur or,
is it 'there can be no objections since I am the Chairman' and such and such WILL occur?
Pardon my ignorance of House rules and / or Robert's Rules of Order.

Joy Reid had Dan Goldman on her show tonight. Last ten minutes or so of the hour. Damn, he's so sharp.

The former. "In the absence of an objection"

That's what I thought. However it must be pro forma (or perhaps he was aware there would be no objections) as there was no time to object before he was on to other things. Of course I see this all the time watching hearings and no one ever seems to object but I'm sure there are objections that I just haven't seen.

Wow. A Republican Congressman just try mansplaining Del. Stacey Plaskett during a hearing by giving her a document & she literally walked it back over to him. Stacey Plaskett isn’t holding back any punches with Republicans & it’s absolutely glorious. An icon & Queen.

Jordan: I’d point out that Democrats ran a committee for a year and a half which gave no ability to Republicans to cross examine witnesses

I assume that he is referring to the Jan. 6 Committee. IIRC, there were R's on that committee. Wasn't Liz Chaney a member? Jordan wasn't on it because the D's declined to appoint insane people to the committee.

Kinzinger too. And it is worth pointing out that the Ds accepted the majority of the Rs suggested appointments to that committee, but because they rejected two with LITERAL TIES TO JANUARY 6TH, McCarthy took his ball and went home. Whose fault is that?

About Taiibbi...

I actually almost felt sorry for him a second. What a clown show from Jim Jordan’s star witness, hired by Musk. What else ya got?

Goldman rocks as always. He got two of the witnesses to admit taking money from Kash Patel.

Thanks, Kendra! I hemmed and hawed about whether to watch this this or the Maricopa hearing. I opted for Maricopa, because it's live only. Glad you're here doing updates--sound much more interesting than mine!
