Howsoever, if I have learned anything from the past six years, it is that there are far more white supremacists in this great land of ours than I really knew, and Donald J. Trump is their unquestioned leader. They are not going to vote for Ron DeSantis, if Trump tells them not to. And how is DeSantis supposed to win elections, when only a fraction of the hardcore right would support him? He can't, that's where.

I would add misogynists. They've made gains against women's rights, and a lot of their influencers appear to be male incels.

The next two years will be filled with the disgusting antics of a republican House and DFO. I find it hard to believe that won't turn off a huge sector of the voting public. I think a lot of people are already fed up. The election showed that. People are paying attention. They proved that by not electing any of the election deniers for Secretary of State.

I'm not looking forward to the next two years; actually, I'm dreading it. But I'm not as afraid of his being elected for a second term. I don't have a crystal ball, but unless something really unforeseen and horrid happens, I don't think he can win.

I agree. DeSantis is just as evil as Trump, but not quite as stupid. He also has at least some functioning filters on what comes out of his mouth. He knows far better than Trump, when to shut up, although he still says some pretty outrageous things.

And, he'll probably be more effective at working with Congress to get what he wants. Trump couldn't repeal Obamacare, even when he had a majority in both houses.
