Ghosts and/or other strange occurrences

 Very Strange… We have company, a friend from NY sleeping upstairs in the oldest part of the house, and this morning when I went into the kitchen (the newest part of the house) all the lights on the celling started flickering and blinking erratically; we’ve never seen such a thing and finally after a couple of minutes of that it just stopped and suddenly the switches worked again. I think it was the ghost but my Mr. had our handyman come have a look and he didn’t see anything wrong with any of the wiring or the lights. We haven’t actually had any ghostly weird shit like that happen around here in quite a while.

Cooll, Ms. Daisy! I live in a house built in 1908. I don't see or hear anything odd, but the cat and dog often stare at a specific spot in my room. My SIL won't stay overnight because she feels weird vibes.

Our house was built in 1815 and we have a little house (cottage) on the property that use to be the slave quarters & kitchen. It started off with two rooms and a loft, and now has been made over with actual plumbing into a proper little house. When there have been cats staying over there they all would sit at the bottom of the stairs and stare up there but won't go up there.

We had some cousins over there once and they came running over to the main house both talking at the same time all freaked out. They were playing darts and Eric threw the dart and it went halfway to the dartboard and was knocked straight to the ground halfway there and the dart was literally broken in half. LOL!

It's empty quite a lot of the time, I went over there once for something and the kitchen floor was covered in broken glass. I thought vandals had been in there and went and got my Mister. Over the back glass door in the kitchen was a clock and as it turned out the glass had somehow blown out of the clock which was still on the wall over the door and shattered on the kitchen floor. Very strange.

My friend and her husband own a historic house that’s around 200 years old. It still has the original outdoor scullery. The only part of the house that makes my spidey senses tingle is the scullery. But I’ve never been alone in the house at 3 a.m.

Here’s an old photo of the house.

And a more recent photo showing the solarium they’ve added using the original side entrance. They’ve also added a front veranda.

We have several tunnels in Niagara Region that are supposed to be haunted. The Screaming Tunnel was in the movie The Dead Zone.

There’s also the Blue Ghost Tunnel.

Ghosts and/or other strange occurrences

My first big ghost-like experience was when I was 17 and a freshman at Catholic University. One night an older student asked me to come to someone's room. There was a student who was very upset because she thought something happened to her closest friend. Several students were standing or sitting with her, trying to calm her.

She said she felt that she had to speak to me. Weird, huh? She started telling me about a young man who was her closest friend. She said something had happened to him, and I was the person who would know. As she spoke about their friendship, I started laughing because I "saw" she and several others in a convertible, goofing off, having fun. She stuck her ice cream cone (vanilla) in his face.

The next thing I knew, the girl's friends were freaking out... One was yelling repeatedly "look at her eyes!" Some rushed away. But the person who had wanted to meet me was busy packing a suitcase. She said her friend spoke through me to tell her that he had died. He wanted her to go home as fast as she could to be with his parents and tell them that he died peacefully and was in a good place.

And she made it in time. She hugged me when she returned, but the story had spread. And it wasn't nice. I moved out of the dormitory.
