I’m gonna guess Romney is vaxxed and boosted.
Romney has been very vocal in his support of vaccines.

Denmark is overflowing with virus cases, but the population is partying.

https://www.nytimes.com/2022/02/09/worl ... tying.html
In Denmark, the coronavirus is everywhere, yet streets, cafes and shops are full. Tens of thousands have to isolate because they tested positive, but employees are back in offices, and bars and restaurants are no longer required to close at 11 p.m. or to ask for proof of vaccination.

On Saturday, thousands flocked to Copenhagen’s nightclubs, which reopened last week for the first time in nearly two months.

Nearly two years into the pandemic, in one of the world’s most prosperous nations, 5.8 million people live free of Covid restrictions, even though nearly 1 percent of them tested positive for the coronavirus in a single day last week. The country is reporting one of the world’s highest numbers of Covid-19 cases per capita, and hospitalizations have reached an all-time high.

But the government declared that as of Feb. 1, it would no longer consider Covid a “socially critical disease” and dropped all restrictions, including a mask mandate in closed spaces and on public transportation.

Denmark is a country where I would trust people to be responsible with these changes. I don't think for a minute that would work here.

Nor sure if it's the best policy, but I can understand it.

Maybe Denmark shouldn't be trusted.

With so many US states rushing to do away with mask mandates we could be in for a rough spring. :?

US Surgeon General Dr. Vivek Murthy announced Friday that he has tested positive for Covid-19.

Murthy wrote in a long thread on Twitter that his wife and 5-year-old son were also positive for the virus and had mild symptoms. His 4-year-old daughter, who was the first in his family to test positive, is “doing ok” and has an improving fever days after he announced that she has the virus, he added.

In announcing his diagnosis, Murthy spoke to the millions of Americans who have also tested positive for Covid-19, saying that he recognizes the emotions that may come with contracting the virus.

“When you’ve been as safe as you can, getting COVID-19 can be frustrating and disappointing. I’ve felt that. It can also be a source of shame. Many people assume you must have been careless to get sick. Our safety measures reduce risk but they can’t eliminate risk. Nothing can,” the surgeon general said.

I just tested positive for COVID. I’ve had a scratchy throat for a couple days, but am feeling fine otherwise. Michelle and I are grateful to be vaccinated and boosted, and she has tested negative.

It’s a reminder to get vaccinated if you haven’t already, even as cases go down.

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi has tested positive for Covid-19, a spokesman for the California Democrat said Thursday.

“After testing negative this week, Speaker Pelosi received a positive test result for COVID-19 and is currently asymptomatic,” Pelosi’s deputy chief of staff Drew Hammill tweeted. “The Speaker is fully vaccinated and boosted, and is thankful for the robust protection the vaccine has provided.”

Pelosi, the top House Democrat, is 82 years old. As speaker of the House, Pelosi is second in the line of presidential succession behind the vice president.

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) tested positive for COVID-19 on Thursday, according to a statement.

Driving the news: "After testing negative this week, Speaker Pelosi received a positive test result for COVID-19 and is currently asymptomatic," Drew Hammill, Pelosi's deputy chief of staff, wrote in a tweet.

Pelosi attended an event with President Biden at the White House on Wednesday.

The big picture: Pelosi is the latest in a slew of White House officials and members of Congress to test positive for COVID-19 this week.
