The 2021 Miss Nevada winner is the first transgender woman crowned in the pageant's history
A transgender woman was crowned Miss Nevada for the first time in the pageant's history on Sunday, as reported by People.
Kataluna Enriquez, 27, competed against 21 other contestants at the South Point Hotel Casino & Spa in Las Vegas, Nevada. She wore a formfitting evening dress covered in rainbow-colored sequins for the event's preliminary competition, and said on Instagram that the dress was meant to represent Pride Month and "all of those who don't get a chance to spread their colors."
Enriquez will now go on to compete in the Miss USA pageant, according to People, and she'll become the first openly transgender woman to participate in the competition.
"Because of hate, people would rather die than be who they are. I was one of them," she wrote. "But I am no longer a victim, I am warrior. #Bevisible "

I was fired from Delta after an impeccable 8 year career. I was fired for politics, not performance. I was targeted on January 7th for being an LGBT CONSERVATIVE. I need to share my story and find legal help.

Dear Patriots,
Every day we see discouraging news and it feels like we are losing.
Our hearts hurt for our country.
But the reason we are losing is because most conservatives have never taken a public stand.
Please come out politically.
Testify.
Go to meetings.
It’s time.
Took them quite some time. Two decades ago following 9/11 they rejected LGTB applicants that were speaking much sought Arabic or Farsi or other Middle East languages, even kicked several out after they dicovered them being gay on the job.orlylicious wrote: ↑Thu Jul 08, 2021 2:14 pm https:// twitter.com/FBI/status/1408539462133497859FBI @FBI

https://www.spoilertv.com/2011/01/true- ... rview.htmlNow packing heat in Red Hill, eternally shirtless True Blood star Ryan Kwanten opens up about his gay brother, his loyal male admirers, and his top-secret sex life. You’ve seen practically every inch of Ryan Kwanten as endearingly dim himbo Jason Stackhouse on HBO’s vampire drama True Blood. But there’s more to the 33-year-old Aussie than meets the naked eye — including a wild new role, a younger gay brother, and a surprisingly humble outlook on acting.
Before True Blood, you starred as a lifeguard in the Australian soap Home and Away. Were you aware of gay fans that early in your career?
Yes, they’ve always been very staunch supporters of me. The great thing is that it’s a loyal fan base — they’ll stick with you through thick and thin, and I like that. You can’t buy that kind of loyalty.
Were you always comfortable with the idea of male admirers?
Oh, yeah. Australians are a very open-minded society, and I come from a very liberal, open family, so it’s something that I’ve embraced from the get-go. My youngest brother, Lloyd, is gay.
Tell me about him.
He’s a doctor, so he got every ounce of intelligence in the family. He was probably about 18 when he came out, and I can wholeheartedly tell you that from the day that he did, he was a changed man for the better. The sheer beauty of who he is really came through.
Your family was totally accepting?
There was never an issue. My parents always encouraged an open channel of communication, so we talked about that and everything else. That’s something lacking in a lot of modern-day families — just talking. It’s almost a lost art form.
The media makes such a fuss over your sex appeal. Do you mind when interviewers focus on your hot body and frequent nude scenes? I get the impression it may annoy you.
I’m willing to talk about that to a certain extent if that’s what they want to talk about. I just don’t want a whole interview to be about that, because that’s not what I’m about. I’m happy to break down any pigeonhole they want to put me in.
You’ve posed for some very sexy, often very revealing photo shoots in your career. Most are pretty classy, but my personal favorites are the promotional images for the 2002 Sydney production of Nicky Silver’s Fit to Be Tied.
[Laughs] Oh, yes, I know the ones you’re referring to.
Did you have to be coaxed into wearing Calvin Klein undies and angel wings?
Yes, I did. And I’ll just leave it at that.
The story is about Griff (Ryan Kwanten), a socially awkward office worker who spends his days being bullied by his workmates. At night he is Griff the Invisible, a superhero who roams the streets of his neighbourhood, protecting the innocent. Griff has his world turned upside down when he meets Melody (Maeve Dermody), the beautiful young daughter of a hardware store owner, who shares his passion for the impossible. The film won the AACTA award for Best Original Screenplay.

A London library is apologizing for bringing in a “Rainbow Dildo Butt Monkey” to entertain children.
Redbridge Libraries hosted Mandiga Arts Group at a Redbridge Libraries Summer Reading Challenge event Saturday in east London where video footage posted on social media shows a number of performers outside the event, according to the Evening Standard.
One of the performers was dressed in a rainbow monkey costume exposing a fake buttocks and a fake penis.
A London library is apologizing for hosting an event where an actor described as a “Rainbow Dildo Butt Monkey” reportedly entertained children. Redbridge Libraries hosted the Mandiga Arts Group at a Redbridge Libraries Summer Reading Challenge event Saturday in east London, the Evening Standard reported. Video footage and photographs posted on social media shows a number of performers outside the event, including an individual dressed in a rainbow monkey costume exposing a fake buttocks and a fake penis. It is not immediately clear who the performer was.
“Can a word capture the spirit of an age? Images certainly can,” tweeted Twitter user Dr. Jane Harris. “In future, when we think back on the zeitgeist of 2021, we may remember Rainbow Dildo Butt Monkey, and wonder how on earth we descended to thinking that this was suitable entertainment for children.” Both Mandiga Arts and the library apologized in tweets over the weekend. Redbridge Library’s tweet distanced the library from the decision to bring the “Rainbow Dildo Butt Monkey” to perform for the children.
“During an event put on at the library today there was a performance by a Carnival Arts Company,” the library tweeted. “Unfortunately one of the animal costumes was inappropriate which we were not aware of at the time of booking. We deeply apologise for the offence caused,” the library’s statement continued. “This is being looked into and a further statement will be made. This event was arranged by Vision and not Redbridge Council.
Upon receiving complaints passed on by the Leader and Deputy Leader, we ceased the performance and are truly apologetic for the distress caused to residents,” the library said. “This will never happen again.” Mandiga Arts apologized for any “offence caused,” saying the group “never intended to offend residents.” The organization did not immediately respond to a request for comment from the Daily Caller News Foundation as to who the “Rainbow Dildo Butt Monkey” is. “We respect everyone’s individual opinion with no offence to any part,” the group tweeted. “Actions are being taken, more information to follow.” Vision Redbridge Culture and Leisure (RCL) told the Evening Standard that it was “utterly appalled by the unacceptable event at Redbridge Libraries on Saturday” and said that it was organized by their “independent leisure contractor, Vision.” The council’s leader Jas Athwal also told the Evening Standard that all future performances are cancelled.
“The contractor had commissioned characters to support the start of the Summer Reading Challenge, but the costume in question was wholly inappropriate for the intended audience,” RCL told the publication. “A full and thorough investigation into how this incident happened has been launched and stringent action will be taken. We sincerely apologise for the offence and distress this has caused.”
Wiskus first caught the national spotlight in 2019 when he avoided fall off the high bar with a thrilling one-handed catch at the U.S. championships. After making that year’s world championships team and establishing himself as a bona fide Olympic contender, the Minneapolis native found himself back in the spotlight over the past year for less fun reasons. With the University of Minnesota announcing it was dropping its 118-year-old men’s gymnastics team, Wiskus nonetheless powered through his senior season only to finish runner-up in the NCAA all-around for the third season in a row.
Attention now turns to Tokyo, where Wiskus, 22, has a chance to make an impact across multiple events for Team USA. Following a disastrous ending to the national championships, where in his last of 12 rotations he fell three times off the high bar and dropped from second to ninth in the all-around standings, Wiskus was back to his regular self in St. Louis, finishing third, with top-five results on four events.

Ed Buck convicted in meth overdose deaths of Gemmel Moore and Timothy Dean
BY MICHAEL FINNEGAN, HAILEY BRANSON-POTTS JULY 27, 2021 2:34 PM PT
Ed Buck, a longtime fixture of West Hollywood politics, was convicted Tuesday of charges that he supplied the methamphetamine that killed two men during “party-and-play” encounters at his apartment. After about four hours of deliberations, the jury found Buck guilty of every charge in a nine-count indictment that also accused him of maintaining a drug den, distributing methamphetamine and enticement to cross state lines to engage in prostitution. Buck, 66, could spend the rest of his life in prison. The convictions for supplying the meth that resulted in death each carry a minimum sentence of 20 years in prison.
The verdict concluded a two-week trial that featured harrowing testimony by Black men hired by Buck, who is white, to show off their bodies in underwear and get high on crystal meth and the party drug GHB. Excerpts from Buck’s hundreds of graphic videos and photos of the drugs-and-sex sessions were played at the trial. Buck’s obsessive pursuit of his dangerous fetish led to the overdose deaths of two Black men in his apartment: Gemmel Moore, 26, in July 2017, and Timothy Dean, 55, in January 2019. It was only in September 2019, after a third Black man nearly died of an overdose, that Buck was arrested — a delay that fueled angry protests by activists who accused law enforcement officials of failing to aggressively investigate a politically influential white man. Buck, a onetime candidate for West Hollywood’s City Council, made more than $500,000 in campaign donations over the last couple of decades, nearly all of it to Democrats.
The trial wound up giving voice to the men Buck victimized. Some of them were homeless and doing escort work to survive when Buck first invited them over. He paid them extra when they let him personally inject them with meth, the men testified. They said he enjoyed seeing them get so high that they lost control. Videos played at the trial showed Buck touching some of the men sexually when they were asleep or unconscious. “I know this has been an arduous, lengthy and difficult process,” U.S. District Judge Christine A. Snyder told jurors after she read the verdict shortly after 2 p.m. Buck’s trial cast light on a uniquely monstrous variation of the gay community’s drug subculture. It showed how the gay hookup site Adam4Adam allowed Buck to advertise openly in his profiles that he was soliciting men to “party and play,” a phrase well known to mean using crystal meth during sex encounters.
Some of the men who testified about using drugs in Buck’s apartment broke down in tears on the witness stand. Several testified that Buck injected meth into their arms without their consent when they were passed out. They also told of Buck’s repeated use of racial slurs. Buck’s lawyers, Christopher Darden and Ludlow Creary, portrayed his accusers as untrustworthy drug addicts who were simply out to make money. “Did you inject or smoke any meth prior to coming to testify?” Darden asked one of the men on Friday. “Absolutely not,” the man responded. When Darden asked the man whether he’d tried to set up Buck for prosecution, the witness responded: “I’m here to speak the truth. I’m here to tell my story.” Assistant U.S. Atty. Chelsea Norell called the defense’s strategy “despicable victim shaming.”
Los Angeles County coroner’s officials initially ruled Moore’s death was accidental, and an initial review by sheriff’s deputies found nothing suspicious. Sheriff’s detectives did not launch a new investigation into Moore’s death for more than two weeks — after his mother, friends and activists questioned if the drugs were self-administered. In July 2018, the L.A. County district attorney’s office declined to press charges, a decision that caused political trouble for D.A. Jackie Lacey in her unsuccessful campaign for reelection. Eight months after Dean’s death, Buck was arrested on Sept. 17, 2019, on state drug and battery charges after the third man overdosed and nearly died. Two days later, federal authorities announced the charges that led to Buck’s conviction on Tuesday.
