Just an update. I've decided not to have the biopsy at this time. After weighing the risks of the anesthesia against the possibility of something serious being wrong, and talking to both my general doctor and the surgeon, I've decided I just can't do it.
When I was having symptoms, except for the first time, the symptoms were barely noticable. I've been asymptomatic for six weeks now.
The biggest reason is the stress. My depression has been worse, I've been volatile, and had a serious panic the other night. When my doctor was out for his regular visit a couple days later, my blood pressure was higher than usual. The doctors are worried what the stress of the surgery itself could do, but that's without factoring in the general stress from my anxiety or the stress of having to be transported.
If the symptoms come back, I'll reconsider at that time.
Thanks to everyone for your good wishes, I have appreciated it a great deal!
