:bighug: hope things get better tomorrow morning with both a medical and ambulance appointment. And good test results thereafter. Editing and rewriting is difficult, so I hope you get thru this medical issue so you can get back to getting the book finalized.

They’ve made so many advances in the last 14 years too!

I’m still hoping it’s nothing like this though. Please message me with any questions. :bighug:

Monday was a horrible day for me. My doctor FINALLY, after almost 3 weeks, got the referral sent to the gynecologist they want me to see about my problem. We were on the verge of getting an appointment set up *three months* from now when I realized I needed to let them know my disability might be an issue, as well as my size, and after talking further they said that between the two they weren't going to be able to accommodate me. I was absolutely devastated. We talked through so many different options, they looked at what they had at different offices, and so on. They were trying to help me, but just came to a realization it wasn't going to work.

I then had a couple more ideas and called them back today to see if either would be at all feasible. When I told them who I was, the woman who answered sounded really excited. They'd kept working on my issues and had come up with a solution. We're doing an initial appointment in two weeks, (not three months), and see where we need to go from there. I know they want a sonogram, and there's a good chance there's a medical testing company that can bring a sonogram to my home (they were able to bring out an X-ray machine, so...)

The thing is, though, that they kept working on it! I've had too many experiences with doctors and others who are just like "we can't help you, sorry," and that's the end of the story. But these guys WANT to help me, and that's kind of a new feeling that I'm just tripping on.

It may not sound like that big of a deal, but for me, it is. :D

So happy for you.

Bless the medical people. Yes, there are duds, and yes, there are random insane waits. But by George there are so many of them who understand that they are needed, and work hard to make things happen.

Pulling for you!

Well, I had the telehealth consult with my new doctor and we've scheduled my biopsy for January 4th. I'll be going into the hospital early in the morning and the expectation is I'll return home later that day after I recover from whatever anesthesia is used.

The doctor wanted to do it Dec 1st, but there was just no way Mr. Gray could get the time off work - he works at a consumer credit bank and they get socked BAD during the holidays, so time off is just out of the question. I'm impressed with how fast they're able to get me in, though.

I'm pretty nervous about this.
