Trial begins today in Jan 6 case of Nicholas Rodean of Maryland. Feds allege he "broke two large panes of glass in a window adjacent to a door in the Senate Wing of the US Capitol building. To break the two panes, he used a flagpole with a “Trump is My President” flag attached"
Bench trial begins at 930am in Jan 6 case of Nicholas Rodean, who's accused of carrying hatchet

Feds say witnesses will include Capitol staffer who was "part of the team that oversaw repairs stemming from damage caused by rioters on Jan 6, 2021 including the window Rodean broke"

Rodean is the latest Jan 6 defendant to seek a bench trial with DC federal judge Trevor McFadden (a 2017 appointee to court)

McFadden has partially or fully acquitted three of the prior Jan 6 defendants who secured bench trials with him
