Michael Constantine, the father in "My Big Fat Greek Wedding", has died aged 94:

I saw him last weekend on a rerun of the old series "The Fugitive", but I think of him as the high school principal in the 1970s series "Room 222".

Michael Constantine

The online stories about his death talk about his role as the father in My Big Fat Greek Wedding but - my! - he appeared in so many television shows over the years.

Michael Constantine was one of our clients when I worked at the answering service in Hollywood (1971-72). He was really nice every time I talked to him. I had to work the swing shift on my 18th birthday and he called in for his messages. He asked how I was doing and I told him it was my birthday and was unhappy that I had to work. He said something like that's too bad and we finished up the call. About a half hour later he called back and sang me "Happy Birthday." I was really thrilled he would do something like that for me. I loved him ever since.

CHICAGO -- Former U.S. Sen. Adlai Stevenson III of Illinois has died at his home on Chicago's North Side. He was 90.

His son Adlai Stevenson IV, who confirmed the Illinois Democrat died on Monday, said his father had dementia.

Before his health declined, Stevenson kept active organizing presentations and speakers for the Adlai Stevenson Center on Democracy in Libertyville, Illinois. He also worked on the family farm in Hanover, Illinois, raising cattle, growing corn and hay for their feed, and chopping wood.

“He just faded away,” his son said.

I was testing out an old camera a few years back and took this shot of the Adlai Stevenson II home in Mettawa, Illinois.

Home computing pioneer Sir Clive Sinclair dies aged 81
Creator of the landmark ZX Spectrum and the less commercially successful C5 died after a long illness

Haroon Siddique

Sir Clive Sinclair, the inventor and entrepreneur who was instrumental in bringing home computers to the masses, has died at the age of 81.

His daughter, Belinda, said he died at home in London on Thursday morning after a long illness. Sinclair invented the pocket calculator but was best known for popularising the home computer, bringing it to British high-street stores at relatively affordable prices.

Many modern-day titans of the games industry got their start on one of his ZX models. For a certain generation of gamer, the computer of choice was either the ZX Spectrum 48K or its rival, the Commodore 64.
