The case for intelligent life on other planets ...

#76

Post by Foggy »

Alexa now claims there are two trillion galaxies.

With an average 100,000 to 400,000 stars in each of them.

So, y'know ... minimum two hundred thousand trillion stars in the Universe. Which means, imho, that there must be other sentient species that have evolved on a few of them.

Even if only one in a trillion stars have sentient life, that's 200,000 individual sentient species on other planets.

And life, once it gets started, is beyond tenacious. It wants to be sentient. And I know for sure that there are trillions of people of other species who look up at the night sky and dream of visiting the neighbors, just like I do.

Why does Venus rotate backwards, and why is their day longer than their year? :confuzzled:
The more I learn about this planet, the more improbable it all seems. :confuzzled:
