Our leaving Afghanistan may have helped make this possible. Without US troops there, al-Zawahiri may have gotten complacent. That may have given us the opening we needed.

I think it was Jeff Tiedrich I saw point out on the Twitters that Biden kills terrorists while tfg golfs with them.

Too also: I'm guessing Biden didn't ask the Taliban for permission to conduct the strike. (A consideration that might have been needed if the Taliban wasn't in power.)

Given that Trump lives by projection, one would think this means that *he* likes looking at his body. Which now makes me think of Trump as Buffalo Bill. Sorry Not Sorry for that mental image, folks.

“Must read.”
No.
Hell to the no, even.
There are certain things I might hate-read, to at least gain a little insight.
This isn't one of them.

There’s a new (to me) concept - hate-read. Was Nicholas Von Hoffman’s book on Roy Cohn a hate-read? I hated the subject matter, loved the book. It explained so much about Republicans and their ideology of revenge and destruction. Good God, he was an awful person, yet well-connected. Like Epstein.
Or is it like reading Jared’s fantasy just to get a glimpse into his closet o’ secrets? I’d say there’s more pathology to Jared Kushner than we dare guess at.
Well, it seems like Ronny was promoted to Rear Admiral (lower half) in October 2016. (That is one star, the navy equivalent to brigadier general.)
He was twice nominated to Rear Admiral (two stars), the same as a major-general: Once in March 2018 and again in January 2019. Both nominations were returned to the White House by the Senate Committee on Armed Services without action. He retired in December 2019.
