I dunno. Given Major, Commander, etc., General or Admiral might have worked.

Willows bend in a storm but don’t break, a metaphor for Biden. The military names are fine for honoring his son and all the others; Willow is for everyone else.

President Biden and first lady Jill Biden have added a rare first feline named Willow to their White House family, which already included a puppy, Commander.

Presidential pet history is too imprecise for an exact kitty count, but it appears that only about a dozen have padded through the White House, compared with more than 100 dogs. First dogs, in fact, date to George Washington’s presidency, but cats may not have appeared until Abraham Lincoln’s, and their lives have been far more mysterious.

[The Bidens finally have a cat. World, meet Willow.]

Where did they go all day? Did they pounce on any mice, dogs or humans? Did any escape? And who dished out the tuna and treats?

Here’s a peek at the day-to-day lives of some previous White House cats.

[‘Who pours the kibble?’ And other answers about the lives of White House dogs.]

OMG, they're cats, of course they're more mysterious than dogs. Scooby-Doo hisself never solved the mystery of cats. Very little is really known about how they think.

In other news, water is wet. Film video at 11.

When asked why Germany completely changed its attitude against arms delivery to Ukraine, a high-ranking politician said: "The calmness and prudence of @POTUS, who did not put us under pressure, but gave us time to think about it ourselves! Thank you Mr. Biden! Wow 😍🇩🇪
Fuck yes there’s a reason we have experts and skilled professionals instead of rank amateurs doing important jobs.

But how do we know POTUS is really doing something if he isn't all over the Twitters telling us about it?!?! :fingerwag:

Oh wait, I guess he was doing something! :o

He was wrong.

I spent countless hours unifying our European Allies. We countered Russia’s lies with truth. And now, the free world is holding him accountable.

So that's what it's like to have a real human being as President again....

How refreshing...

I really like him! He just seems like a fundamentally decent person. The Riverdancers must have been thrilled! (and I love that he introduced himself to them - that was cute :) )

Social Media from the right wing all the way to half the lefties I follow is stressed about Biden calling out Putin and saying he has to go.

Since this is what every sane person on the planet wishes for (see above), I think NOT saying this is a form of gaslighting. He spoke the obvious truth, at a time when the hedging and lies come across as fear. He's being a leader. Which we so need.

Time will tell. I'm glad he called out that scum.
