I’ve watched him his whole career and you’re right, uninformed. He is a decent man, a good friend, and a bridge builder.

How we all became radical left communists in the space of a few months is an enduring mystery to me. Maybe they were thinking it all along, but I’d never been called a radical anything before 2015.

I too like Dark Brandon as a media relations response. Of course I still believe in working (and achieving results) in current crucial issues.

America has become divided about what those are and the peeps of the right feel their top problems aren’t being addressed. Is this true? I’m not sure.

Are their perceived problems what they think they are? Is it true that those problems are not being addressed, or is there disagreement on solutions, or is there actual progress but little awareness?

I confess that I haven’t spent enough time (uggh… for mental hygiene reasons) in right wing bubbles to be well informed as to what the real (not Hunter Biden’s laptop) concerns are. I see stuff like: fentanyl, porous borders, higher crime rates, education, gas prices, inflation…

So long as Dark Brandon realizes that his (our) success still must address (the sane) perceived issues of the right…

I paid $2.79/gal yesterday to fill up so maybe they should take gas prices off their list?

Still $3.89 here.
$2.79 would be amazing.
AAA has nothing that low anywhere…

You're trying to look at this logically, and it's not a logical problem. Biden/Harris can't address their problems because they''re not of their tribe. They're of the mythical, pedophilic, globalist, communist, socialist, etc., etc., tribe. It doesn't matter that Biden "was a scrappy kid from a working-class Irish Catholic family." He's one of Them now. It doesn't matter that Trump is a faux billionaire in a suit or golf duds. He is one of Us, the perpetually outraged.

They're fed constant lies by people in roles that should be trustworthy, the Stefaniks, Cruzes, Hawleys, MTGs, Boeberts, Gaetzes, McCarthys. The border is completely OPEN. Nothing will convince them otherwise, and if Stefanik, say, were to let it slip that it's under control, she'd be an instant RINO.

They also aren't clear on what their problems are or what will fix them. They'll move the goalposts if a problem is clearly solved. And one big problem they see is that people not of their tribe are being treated like they have human rights-anyone who isn't straight and white. And preferably male or who at least knows her place as subservient to males.

Also they swing back and forth. They dropped the focus on identity politics for a while to focus on the border, etc. Now we're back to identity politics, especially in the classroom. Why? Because they don't have that much to complain about.

And if they cared about problem solving, they wouldn't vote for the candidates, including tfg, who have literally done nothing to solve them. What did tfg accomplish? What have all the MAGAts in Congress actually done? Nothing except stoke the anger and fears of the people who crave having their angers and fears stoked and their racist and misogynists views validated.

It sounds like Biden called them out on it. Now their fee fees are hurt. And likely they're still wearing those "F@#& your feelings" T-shirts. Because f@#& your feelings. Only ours matter.

Nixon was the only POTUS to park his butt in the OO with no living "exes" once LBJ died.

He is correct that that we are now in a situation where we have 5 exes which has happend a few times before

I had to look it up but Carter announced the spread of cancer to his brain in 2015, seven years ago. I never dreamed he'd last this long.

Are you going to point them out?

I mean, we know JFK was still alive when Nixon was in office so there's that, but the other five?

OK, Washington, not a gimme cause there was a President under the Articles of Confederation, so that one is wrong,

Was he still Alive after Washington died in 1899?

Who was still alive when Grant left office?

After Grover died in 1908 what other former President was still alive?

Was someone we don't know about still alive when Calvin Coolidge died?

In general, if you're gonna disagree with something, you should cite something, most especially when asked.

Just saying...

There seem to have been eight presidents under the Articles of Confederation.

The second president, Elias Boudinot (1740-1821), was the last to die.

I was unaware of these American presidents.

In desperate times, quite often in our past, some incredible leaders have really emerged just when they were most needed. I'm thinking about Washington, Lincoln, FDR, people like that. I hope things don't get so bad that Joe has a chance to join that group ... but if he has to do it, he might be just the guy.

I have not forgotten that Sterngard predicted Biden-Harris before any of us. Come back, por favor. :brokenheart:

Lawsuit seeks to block Biden's student debt forgiveness program

An Indiana-based lawyer who works for a conservative-leaning law firm filed a lawsuit against the federal government Tuesday in an effort to block President Joe Biden's student loan forgiveness program in its first major legal challenge.

Garrison's employer, the Pacific Legal Foundation, filed a 26-page complaint on his behalf in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Indiana against the U.S. Department of Education and Education Secretary Miguel Cardona.

The complaint says that the Department of Education has "no lawful authority to issue the rule" and it rejects the administration's justification for the program: that the mass cancellation of student loans is needed to mitigate the effect of the coronavirus pandemic.

"Nothing about loan cancellation is lawful or appropriate," the firm's lawyers argue. "In an end-run around Congress, the administration threatens to enact a profound and transformational policy that will have untold economic impacts. The administration’s lawless action should be stopped immediately."

Democrats Are Lowering Premiums for Medicare Part B

Today, President Biden and the Department of Health and Human Services announced that premiums for Medicare B will decrease next year for the first time in over a decade. For millions of seniors and people with disabilities, this means more money in their pockets while still getting the care they need. President Biden was introduced by Bob Parant, a Medicare beneficiary from Long Island, New York, who has lived with type 1 diabetes for 50 years. In his words, the Inflation Reduction Act will “give him peace of mind". With lower drug costs, he will be able to visit his grandchildren more and worry less about depleting his retirement savings.

President Biden explained, “Today, @HHSgov announced that premiums for Medicare Part B will decrease next year. That’s the fee you pay for Medicare to cover your visits to your doctor. For years that fee has gone up. But now, for the first time in more than a decade. It’ll go down.”

Time is coming for me to retire, and I've been pondering what to do about Medicare. I have Kaiser insurance from my employer, and it's great. Minimal costs for prescriptions, tests & visits. Not scary! I guess I better have a chat w/the Kaiser Medicare office for some information.
