By the authority vested in me as President by the Constitution and the laws of the United States of America, including sections 121 and 12304 of title 10, United States Code, I hereby determine that it is necessary to augment the active Armed Forces of the United States for the effective conduct of Operation Atlantic Resolve in and around the United States European Command’s area of responsibility. In furtherance of this operation, under the stated authority, I hereby authorize the Secretary of Defense, and the Secretary of Homeland Security with respect to the Coast Guard when it is not operating as a service in the Navy, under their respective jurisdictions, to order to active duty any units, and any individual members not assigned to a unit organized to serve as a unit of the Selected Reserve, or any member in the Individual Ready Reserve mobilization category and designated as essential under regulations prescribed by the Secretary concerned, not to exceed 3,000 total members at any one time, of whom not more than 450 may be members of the Individual Ready Reserve, as they deem necessary, and to terminate the service of those units and members ordered to active duty.
This order is not intended to, and does not, create any right or benefit, substantive or procedural, enforceable at law or in equity by any party against the United States, its departments, agencies, or entities, its officers, employees, or agents, or any other person.

President Joe Biden’s younger dog, Commander, has been involved in several biting incidents at the White House and in Delaware, according to US Secret Service email correspondence, which show personnel from the agency raising concern about safety around the German Shepherd.
The White House said the Bidens were working through new training for the family pet following the incidents.
Another of Biden’s dogs, Major, was involved in biting incidents at the White House. The German Shepherd later moved out of the White House.
The emails, which were obtained through Freedom of Information Act requests by the conservative group Judicial Watch, show Commander was involved in 10 incidents, including one that required an officer to go to a local hospital.
Commander, 22 months old, arrived at the White House in 2021. In one of the incidents described in the Secret Service emails, an officer was referred to a local hospital in November 2022 after Commander clamped down on the officer’s arm and thighs.
Other incidents occurred when Commander was walking the grounds unleashed, according to the emails.
In one incident in October, first lady Dr. Jill Biden “couldn’t regain control” of the dog as it charged a member of Secret Service staff.
“I believe it’s only a matter of time before an agent/officer is attacked or bit,” the staff member wrote in an email.

CHICAGO -- President Joe Biden established a national monument honoring civil rights icon Emmett Till and his mother Tuesday on what would have been his 82nd birthday.
President Biden signed a proclamation to establish the Emmett Till and Mamie Till-Mobley National Monument across sites in Illinois and Mississippi.
One site will include the Roberts Temple Church of Christ in Chicago's Bronzeville neighborhood, where thousands gathered to mourn Till's death.

The Black teenager from Chicago was murdered in 1955 after he was accused of whistling at a white woman in Mississippi.
Till's best friend, younger cousin and witness to his abduction, Reverend Wheeler Parker, Junior will introduce the president Tuesday at the White House.
He recently spoke to GMA about his memories.
"How could that happen in America, but it happened," Rev. Parker said. "If you didn't live during that time or experience what I'm talking about, you have no idea it means, what it was like. You could be killed for anything and nobody is going to say anything to help you."

President Joe Biden has offered his first statement on 4-year-old grandchild Navy Joan Roberts, the daughter of Hunter Biden and Lunden Roberts, an Arkansas woman who filed a paternity suit against the president's son in May 2019.
“Our son Hunter and Navy’s mother, Lunden, are working together to foster a relationship that is in the best interests of their daughter, preserving her privacy as much as possible going forward," President Biden said in a statement provided exclusively to PEOPLE.
Navy, one of the president's seven grandchildren, has recently been the subject of headlines as Republicans have criticized the president for previously touting his "six grandchildren."
"This is not a political issue, it’s a family matter," President Biden's statement continues. "Jill and I only want what is best for all of our grandchildren, including Navy.”
A source familiar with the situation tells PEOPLE that the recently resolved child support dispute between Hunter and Lunden has dictated how the relationship has played out so far.
"You have to remember there were some fairly contentious legal proceedings between Navy’s parents happening until just a few weeks ago. As grandparents, the Bidens are following Hunter’s lead," the source says, adding, "They are — and have been — giving Hunter and Lunden the space and time to figure things out."
The legal dispute between Lunden and Hunter worked its way through Arkansas courts for more than four years and led to a November 2019 ruling that, despite his denials, Hunter did father the child (which was confirmed with a DNA test).

The Biden administration has issued a waiver to allow the transfer of $6bn in frozen Iranian funds from South Korea to Qatar as part of a deal to free five Americans detained in Iran.
The deal also involves the freeing of five Iranian citizens imprisoned in the US, mostly for sanctions-busting offenses.

The waiver allowing international banks to transfer the Iranian funds was signed by the secretary of state, Antony Blinken, late last week, and Congress was informed on Monday.
Under the deal, the money, frozen revenues from past sales of Iranian oil, will be sent to Qatar’s central bank, from where it can be disbursed for the purchase of humanitarian goods for Iran.
As part of the preparation for the deal, four of the US nationals held by Iran were transferred from jail to house arrest last month. The fifth detainee was already under house arrest.
A state department spokesperson said the waiver represented the technical approval of a transfer that had been already been announced.

I think it also needs to be said that the entire globe is experiencing inflation and the USA has the absolute lowest rate of inflation. Biden can't possibly be responsible for the fact that every country is suffering inflation, but we must be doing something right if we have the lowest inflation rate in the world.
