New Mexico Gov. Michelle Lujan Grisham has signed an executive order that prohibits cooperation with other states that might interfere with abortion access in New Mexico. The order also prohibits most state employees from assisting other states in abortion-related investigations.

SANTA FE, N.M. (AP) — New Mexico’s Democratic governor took steps Monday to ensure safe harbor to people seeking abortions or providing abortions at health care facilities within the state.

...

“Residents seeking access will be protected, providers will be protected, and abortion is and will continue to be legal safe and accessible, period,” said Lujan Grisham, who is running for a second term in November.

Good for Ms. Grisham!

In my case in 1971, after the birth of my Stillborn child a Christian Pastor came over and informed me that the death was due to my lax attitude toward church attendance. I actually became an alcoholic for six months after that occurrence. Obviously, I do not have a good attitude toward the I.e., ‘christian community’. These people are out of control at this point. Come November we all need to get out and vote and hope the effort puts these people out of power.

Me too. I read it as NM state employees are prevented from helping employees from other states who are trying to prosecute anyone who came to NM for an abortion. Am I wrong?

Oh man. This one strikes home. A priest and a bishop/clergy muckity muck came to our home to inform our parents the criminals, prostitutes, and drug addicts us children would become if the whole fam damily didn't attend more often. They got the bums rush out the door so fast, they almost lost their shoes. Dad was ready to pummel them. Mom just lit a cig and motioned them out. Our lax attendance turned into zero afterwards.

I am glad you made it to the other side of that trauma.

I can't go to DC to protest, and I can't physically protest here, so the next best thing for me to do when passing the clinic this morning was to pull over and hand the escort the cash I had on me. It wasn't much but she acted like it was the lottery. Very grateful and sad they only have 6 more days before they have to close. Meanwhile, the anti behind her was telling me I was going to be judged (not by you, Sparky) and I was going to hell. I looked that old fat white guy right in the eye and told him the only way I knew to prevent abortion 100% was for him to go fuck himself, then continued my conversation with the escort. He wandered off, she gave me a hug, and I headed home.

I didn't realize some media was filming from the other side of my car. Oh, well. It might not be my finest hour as a tv star, but it made me feel better.

The Bible was written for the human race about 2,000 years ago when there was only about 175,000,000 people on Earth...today there's 7.5 Billion people and we are doubling the population every 50 years. You are doing God's work in trying to save the human race from destroying itself. That's why God also gave us IVF (which accounts for 2% of births in the US), because God knows the Earth is NOT a limitless resource and the human race will destroy itself if we do not start practicing family planning. God did not create the Earth to handle 30 billion people as we will have in 100 years if we don't do anything.

For over 50 years God has been telling us that there's too many humans and we need to curtail our activity, and yet greed, indifference and thumbing their nose at God is more important to conservatives than the Earth. I really wish conservatives would put their 1st-grade reader written for humans who thought the Earth was flat, the sun circled the Earth, and stars were little night lights aside and start listening to God today. That's the biggest difference between liberals and conservatives, liberals listen to God's message being delivered today, conservatives read their Bibles and ignore the world today.

So look those people right in the eye and tell them you are doing God's work, because you really are.

I have seen these two post-Roe pieces of advice on Facebook:

1. Delete all apps that monitor your menstrual period.

2. Use www.signal.org for texting and other messaging, not Facebook, Twitter, or other social media platforms.

You are a great lady, and that's a wonderful thing to do, but I can go to DC to protest (and I could offer you a room in my dad's condo so you wouldn't need a hotel room), and so I remember when more than a million abortion rights protesters were in DC in 2005.

I want to be part of the next million, so does anyone know if they're planning a majo, major, MAJOR protest in our nation's capital?

Yes and that in itself is shockingly low.

The night Nixon resigned there were THOUSANDS of us, no organization, totally spontaneous.

But I need a massive protest to join, por favor.

Lake Superior’s twitter account stands with a woman’s right to choose. Some nimrod called the lake out. Hilarity ensued. Read the comments.
