So the single greatest concert I have ever seen before is Nine Inch Nails opening for David Bowie on the Outside Tour [Bowie started to play his soon to be released Earthling matter a year latter], this is them doing Hurt together from Trent Reznor's magnum opus The Downward Spiral....to this day it is the best live performance I have ever been to...

Oh gosh. The NIN song "Hurt" has been covered by many... I have seen them perform that song stage live. I have seen Bowie live (but not this song). I never saw Johnny Cash live but pretty sure him wanting to cover this song was not about his dead wife.
