Thanks to mojosapien posting what i thought was fabulous music in another thread, I found this. I am listening to it now and wow, I just love it. It may not be everyone's cup of tea but I have a feeling there will be many of you who will enjoy this.

There's a lot of things that need to change. One specifically? Police brutality.

Today I am in the calm pretty choral music mode, so here is Ēriks Ešenvalds.

Stars - yes, this one includes tuned water glasses.

Text by Sara Teasdale:
Alone in the night
On a dark hill
With pines around me
Spicy and still,

And a heaven full of stars
Over my head,
White and topaz
And misty red;

Myriads with beating
Hearts of fire
That aeons
Cannot vex or tire;

Up the dome of heaven
Like a great hill,
I watch them marching
Stately and still,

And I know that I
Am honored to be
Witness
Of so much majesty.
The next Ešenvalds is Only in Sleep
I love how the choir stages this one. Stephen Layton does a great job with his choirs.

Text also by Sara Teasdale
Only in sleep I see their faces,
Children I played with when I was a child,
Louise comes back with her brown hair braided,
Annie with ringlets warm and wild.

Only in sleep Time is forgotten —
What may have come to them, who can know?
Yet we played last night as long ago,
And the doll-house stood at the turn of the stair.

The years had not sharpened their smooth round faces,
I met their eyes and found them mild —
Do they, too, dream of me, I wonder,
And for them am I too a child?

Not so much a song, band or genre, I offer Radio Garden as the best thing to access variety. I love it. Use it every day. The free version is mostly unobtrusive and it works flawlessly. The tens of thousands of radio stations and the ability to move and zoom in to the planet is cultural curiosity defined.

http://radio.garden/

I recently installed this on a 75 yr old friend's phone, his first non-flip. It's perfect for training him, gets him curious. He wants a BT speaker, to use it in his car. To listen to the station in Uzbekistan where his son lives.

***

On topic, I think of this song as representative of my thoughts on Sagebrush theoconstitutionalists and environmentalists. I loved the band in the '90s when I was in S UT and today am shocked I'm as old as these guys look - not shocked the Plateau is fucked up and there's no birds to be seen.

***

Many a hand has scaled the grand old face of the plateau
Some belong to strangers, and some to folks you know
Holy ghosts and talk show hosts are planted in the sand
To beautify the foothills, and shake the many hands

Nothing on the top but a bucket and a mop
And an illustrated book about birds
You see a lot up there but don't be scared
Who needs action when you got words

When you've finished with the mop, then you can stop
And look at what you've done
The plateau's clean, no dirt to be seen
And the work, it was fun

Nothing on the top but a bucket and a mop
And an illustrated book about birds
You see a lot up there but don't be scared
Who needs action when you got words

Many hands began to scan around for the next plateau
Some said it was Greenland, and some say Mexico
Others decided it was nowhere except for where they stood
But those were all just guesses
Wouldn't help you if they could

Conservation is what conservation does and it sure ain't preservation.

❤️ I call that one "Num-a-num-a-num-num-num". Borne

We got outside,
The sand was hot,
She wanted to dance ... 🎶

I suspect this is posted here somewhere but for the life of me I can’t find it.
Mr 520 and I still go to our old chiropractor
even though we’re now a hour away. We share music, audiobooks, or companionable silence on the way. I had my last appointment for my shoulder today.

I played my current ear worm for him. I can’t stop listening to it. It makes me smile. I found a 30 minute loop that I play when no one else is home.

I don’t speak Tik Tok fluently but I gather this is from the Grace Kelly challenge. This YouTube comment caught my eye.
If you are wondering "Why have I watched this like 50 times? The separation of thirds in the tones they are singing actually make your brain release dopamine. That coupled with the fact its Ryan Reynolds and Will Ferrell make this one of the happiest things on the internet."
Well, no wonder!
