I always play this song to ground myself.

I change the words "my brother" to "my son".

So, I post a positive link about music in the mall and the best you have is this “gotcha”:
Guess what it was a positive post til you spit on it.
So they were not just 3 random shoppers in the mall deciding to go to work on the piano. And many peope did stop and take notice.

Any time is a good time for Mary Gauthier. I enjoyed this one very much.
There's a lot of things that need to change. One specifically? Police brutality.

I think you are a little touchy here.

Some people have to play 'Captain Obvious' for everybody else when they twig to the fact that they fell for the random dude at the piano that wasn't random but rehearsed.

These kinds of videos appear from time to time. And occasionally viewers are 'tricked' into thinking it is a random performance until they 'get it'. 2 people dancing on the beach looks random until it turns out its 50 people dancing on the beach - it's how the performances are structured.

I enjoyed the video. Don't lose heart.

ETA: Some people just walk on by, and some people stay and watch - that is the reality of busking.
Has everybody heard about the bird?

I complemented you on a nice find. Take it for what it is. No "gotcha".

An old favorite, by coincidence this just popped up on YT suggestions. I've seen Anne and Nancy doing Zeppeling (saw them back in the early days when they were still up and coming), but not this.

Thanks for, sharing that. Heart is another band I really hated before later discovering that they're actually quite good. I 💕 LOVE 💕 Anne's voice!

Anne has a helluva range. Star Spangled Banner at opening of a Seahawk game. Back in their early days before they hit the national stage they did a concert at Seattle's Parmount Theatre. Finished it off with a string of Led Zeppelin songs, and they had the Seattle Symphony behind backing them up. Videos of them doing Zep are next to impossible to find on YouTube (please share if you try and find some), but if you want a feel for it, Heart did Stairway to Heaven at the Kennedy Center Honors when Zep got their tribute. That is easy to find.

I have been enjoying this all week. Someday, I need to do this with my choir.

And with the optional cello

And since I am on the subject of intimate choral music. Only in Sleep by Latvian composer Ēriks Ešenvalds.

I love how the choir staged this.

text by Sara Teasdale
Only in sleep I see their faces
Children I played with when I was a child
Louise comes back with her brown hair braided
Annie with ringlets warm and wild

Only in sleep Time is forgotten—
What may have come to them, who can know?
Yet we played last night as long ago
And the doll-house stood at the turn of the stair

The years had not sharpened their smooth round faces
I met their eyes and found them mild—
Do they, too, dream of me, I wonder
And for them am I too a child?

"Well I'm not the worlds most masculine man, but I know what I am and I'm glad I'm a man and so is Lola"

The song has some of the most clever lyrics for that era.

Wow. Their soprano has some serious chops. I like how she can sustain. That was good. Thank you.
