Seems I am late to the party
But please refresh my TFB University knowledge, please.
"1. In the run-up to the 2016 Presidential Election,"
Hasn't any statute of limitation run out on claims for that date?

I firmly believe that Trump absolutely believes what he wants to believe. He totally believes that Biden could not have beaten him, that the election was somehow rigged. He totally believes that Democrats conspired against him. He was just a sitting duck for Alina Habba to feed his ego and have him sign off on this lawsuit. Trump may be savvy at manipulating people, but he really fails at critical analysis. His ego gets in the way.

Alina had better have ensured she was payed up front or she won’t see a Ruble

I think you'd be wrong. I was reading the other day (not sure which GOP congresscritter) that Trump told them he knew he lost. He just loves playing the fools for fools...it's how he gets his kicks.MN-Skeptic wrote: ↑Thu Mar 24, 2022 5:15 pm I firmly believe that Trump absolutely believes what he wants to believe. Question: will this law suit just start to get a life when Republican primaries start this summer? Will it work for or against them?

Legal "brains" is back up, and I found this blog post on their site:
If this case actually manages to make it to discovery, I fully expect Trump to be claiming executive privilege to any request for documents or a deposition. In his mind, he is judge and jury and the defendants have the burden to accept his ruling.

Re: Trump v. Clinton (S.D. Fla., 2:22cv-14102)
Here's the plan:
Comply with discovery by the plaintiff and don't do any at all.
From Day One, tell the court and opposing counsel that you are ready to begin the trial TOMORROW.
Narrator: You can't go to trial tomorrow, and Trump and his attorneys do not want a trial, especially if you have a really sharp trial attorney going against them.
Yeah, but listen up, Narrator, you punk: The point of the exercise is to scare the shit out of him. Every time you tell the judge in open court that you DEMAND to go to trial IMMEDIATELY, you look Trump in the eye and chuckle a little, with a BIG SMILE
BECAUSE YOU ARE GOING TO KICK HIS FUCKING ASS IN OPEN COURT
AND THE WHOLE WORLD IS GOING TO SEE IT.
Y'all really need to be reading that Irish mousy dood, he's eating sumpin' in his avatar now, but he is dead on precise when he points out that secretly, in his heart of hearts, deep down, Trump knows that he is a small man, a loser, a con artist who is terrified of being exposed.
And Trump has never been confronted with the truth of the 2020 election in a way that would shove it down his throat. Do you think a really good trial lawyer, instead of spending three or four years fighting to take Trump's deposition, could just forget about deposing him and instead simply put on a trial where she shoves the 2020 election down Trump's throat in open court in a way that he could never, ever tolerate?
So if you convince him that a trial is going to expose, once and for all, that Trump LOST and that he is a losing loser who loses, he will do ANYTHING to avoid going to trial.
Which looks really weak, when you're the plaintiff. Don't you WANT a trial?
Anyway, that's what happened in my dream ...
I told Hillary to make fun of him in the 2016 debates, laugh in his face, early and often. She didn't take my advice, and look what happened.
Maybe this time somebody will listen.

The more I learn about this planet, the more improbable it all seems.

Not taking time to read this BS. But the venue seems to be problematic for the “Plaintiff.”

Oh yeah, and every time I saw the ditzbag Alina Habba, I'd reach in my pocket and hand her some sunflower seeds, and tell her, "Here, put these in your pocket."

Re: Trump v. Clinton (S.D. Fla., 2:22cv-14102)
From the complaint:
28 U.S.C. sec. 1391(b)(2):Venue is proper in this District pursuant to 28 U.S.C. § 1391(b)(2) because at least one Defendant and the Plaintiff reside in this District and a substantial part of the events or omissions giving rise to the Plaintiffs’ claims occurred in this District. In this regard, the publications of injurious falsehoods were intended to occur in the Southern District of Florida, and they did occur in the Southern District of Florida.
So where a plaintiff and a defendant reside is irrelevant. And the plaintiff didn't reside in 2016 in Florida.A civil action may be brought in ... a judicial district in which a substantial part of the events or omissions giving rise to the claim occurred, or a substantial part of property that is the subject of the action is situated....
But other than vague, conclusory "and Florida was affected" allegations, there's nothing linking this case to Florida. Meanwhile, the DNC is headquartered in DC, and Clinton's campaign was headquartered in New York.
This suit is a Klayman-esque grift, not designed to win but to chum for rubes with loose wallets. And, like Klayman, it was filed in a venue that was most convenient for the plaintiff's lawyer.
