Too bad Ukraine's Mariupol steel plant is in ruins. Hope the ArcelorMittal Kryvyi Rih steel plat is OK.

Give 10 locations to each senior military officer that has their men lay down weapons.
But the sunshine aye shall light the sky,
As round and round we run;
And the truth shall ever come uppermost,
And justice shall be done.

That's not a rusty roll up door, it appears to be a heavy, rust colored, blackout curtain in the shop window, and it looks like it even matches the color of the rolled up awning above the window.

Based on google images, it's quite possibly their signature color, too. Lots of photos of their stores showing it. I think it's supposed to be "gold" colored.

New Tee Vee show to raise money for Ukraine:

Oligarch Demolition Derby!

Let's take all the yachts that have been seized from the oligarchs, rig them with torpedoes and cannons and weapons and stuff, get some Russians and have them shoot it out on LIVE TEE VEE, and the last yacht still afloat gets ... OK, we drop a daisycutter on the last one.

Well OK, it's a working concept. Might need a little work.

I can think of a bunch of youtube channels that could come up with all sorts of 'myths' to bust or cool stunts to play with a bunch of yachts. But even without canons, a demolition durby would be a blast to watch.

We could turn this into Saturday morning serials.

Show clips of these vessels jockeying for position, firing off cannon, shooting torpedoes, machine guns firing from the bridge. Have Tom Selleck or Lester Holt do the voiceovers. Then, leave us hanging when a torpedo is launched when the beleaguered announcer (a la William Conrad in Rocky and Bulwinkle) intones:

"Be sure to join us next time for 'Torpedo Junction,' or 'Yacht's All Folks.'
"Some cause happiness wherever they go; others whenever they go." O. Wilde

European Union agrees to partial embargo on Russian oil as part of Ukraine invasion sanctions

https://www.abc.net.au/news/2022-05-31/ ... /101112244

European Union leaders have reached a compromise to impose a partial oil embargo on Russia.

Key points:
The measure covers more than two-thirds of EU oil imports from Russia
Other sanctions in the package include removing Russia's largest bank from the SWIFT network
Hungary had made clear it would only support the new sanctions if its oil supply was guaranteed

The Shell gas would have gone to Germany.

The dispute is a refusal of the western companies to pay for the gas using roubles.

NATO nations block Russian envoy’s plane from Serbia visit

BELGRADE, Serbia (AP) — Serbia and Russia on Monday formally confirmed that a planned visit by Russia’s foreign minister to the Balkan country will not take place, with Moscow accusing the West of preventing the trip.

The announcement followed reports that Serbia’s neighbors — Bulgaria, North Macedonia and Montenegro — had refused to allow Sergey Lavrov’s plane to fly through their airspace to reach Serbia.

“An unthinkable thing has happened,” Lavrov said during an online news conference Monday. “A sovereign state has been deprived of its right to conduct foreign policies. The international activities of Serbia on the Russian track have been blocked.”

Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic earlier Monday met with Russia’s ambassador to Serbia who informed him that Lavrov could not come because the Russian government plane was denied necessary flyover permissions, a statement issued after the meeting said.
