Boris is a Russian asset. His behavior is perfectly logical…for an asset.

Can they just lose his wristband?

Sorry sir, but no QV code, no entry. No we can't make a judgement call based on your appearance. We've seen some great costumes over the years. Did you check your Apple Wallet? Maybe you left it in your other jacket...the one by the window...

And Marina thanks you.
They're here! Took a little over 3 weeks, but I'm surprised that they didn't get stuck in Kiev longer. Marina doesn't just send the earrings. She makes it a party!

Russian natural gas exports to Western Europe are complicated. Russia has cut off exports to Poland and Bulgaria. Russia has insisted that "unfriendly" European nations pay for gas in rubles. So far Hungary and some private companies have agreed to this. The EU has warned the ruble payers that they will violate sanctions if they continue.

Landlocked eastern European EU members like Hungary and Slovakia are very heavily dependent on Russian oil and gas. Hungary opposes all energy sanctions.

https://www.reuters.com/world/europe/eu ... 022-05-02/

Note that gas and crude oil are fungible (more or less in the case of oil). As the EU seeks oil and gas from non-Russian suppliers those suppliers will sell less to non-EU importers. Russia will redirect its exports to those non-EU importers such as India and China.

So move a large naval vessel in front of it.

Get a temporary restraining order against the yacht leaving the port.

I don't think these reports of the EU ceasing natural gas imports by the end of 2022 are accurate. I don't see how that could happen. Here they are talking about trying to do it by 2030.

But yeah, I will love it if it is true.

“Ukraine war: EU plans Russian oil ban and war crimes sanctions”:
https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-europe-61318689

“The EU has proposed some of its toughest measures yet against Russia, including a total ban on oil imports and sanctions on war crimes suspects.
European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen said the package was aimed at maximising pressure on Russia while minimising damage to Europe.
Russian crude oil would be phased out within six months, she said.
Hungary has rejected the proposal as unacceptable and the Czech and Slovak governments want a transition period.
The EU has been focusing for weeks on how to wean itself off Russian oil and gas. It has already pledged to reduce gas imports by two-thirds by the end of 2022 and now plans to phase out crude oil over six months and refined products by the end of 2022.”
If you can't lie to yourself, who can you lie to?

That would be huge and I would love to see it. I mean, I'd love to see the complete elimination, but reality and all.

Doesn’t Hungary get its Russian oil through the southern arm of the pipeline?

Perhaps Ukrainians might have a say in the continued existence of that pipeline..
