I listened to the first 30 minutes or so of the video, and it only reinforced my belief that Dinesh is one of the most dangerous right wing... whatever he is. It isn't the ones that are frothing at the mouth you have to worry about, it is those that sound reasonable and support their ideas with valid logic from false premises. That technique is one of the main reasons for the success of right wing propaganda -- building on the foundation of the "FOX News narrative", so to speak -- the raft of assumptions that got baked in when FOX set out to addict a generation of Americans to right wing outrage porn.

What's important is that an analysis of logical fallacies or critical thinking can't address this issue if people never reexamine their core assumptions.

Scary thing is, I could see the GoP and NRA going for this after feigned outrage. The NRA is already intertwined with insurance coverage for ranges, having mandatory coverage for millions of guns and them being the main option would be very lucrative.... and of course give them say in who can and can not get insurance, blocking gun ownership for some and not others.
