It just occurred to me that these knutsacs are all "No pollical signs" in their notices because they want to avoid paying taxes on the grift. The one that's a church is the spoiler, because they damn sure know that openly pro-Trump stuff is out of bounds for them.

Whether anyone turns up with eleventy sixteen Trump flags on the 1993 Crown Vic spray painted in OD green, they said no signs so what people actually do is out of their control.

 Biden can't fight on two fronts? Well, the NATO cannot help the Ukraine just now, but Biden could ask them for help to contain those invading barbarians driving travelling approaching from the East West

With the price of gas rising because of the war in the Ukraine, a good many members of that "convoy" will discover, after reaching DC, that they can't afford the fuel to get back home.

I remember the truck rally under Carter; this will also have no lasting effect .... and Biden may very well be able to deal with it, using the National Guard and other domestic agencies.

Well, the 15 semi drivers who show up will NOT be happy about spending hundreds of dollars for the gasoline necessary to drive from western states. Those from the west coast could easily spend over a $1500 on gas.

Yes, I actually researched this.

While sitting in the car for an hour waiting for my Mister, I did some math.

I was curious; how far would 25,000 gallons of diesel go?

The route from CA to DC is 2667. The average gas price for diesel, for the 8 states the convoy plans to travel through is 3.55.

Semis average 6-7 miles per gallon.

Convoy starts in Adelanto, CA

Each stopover point

Adelanto, CA to DC = 398 gallons; $1,411

Kingman AZ to DC = 360 gallons; $1,280

Lupton AZ to DC = 311 gallons; $1,105

Glenrio TX to DC = 255 gallons; $905

Elk City OK to DC = 222 gallons; $787

Vinita OK to DC = 180 gallons; $637

Sullivan County MO to DC = 157 gallons; $560

Indianapolis IA to DC = 91 gallons; $332

Cambridge OH to DC = 52 gallons; $185

Hagerstown MD to DC = 10 gallons; $70

25,000 gallons of diesel won't go far enough.

Why can’t they buy their own gum, chips, Kleenex, books, etc.? Those are things they should already have or that would come out of their own pocket even if they weren’t going anywhere. Almost like it’s a grift.

Especially because, when the protest begins to break up and the drivers leave DC, the whole thing will fade from the news. Nobody is going to donate money, gasoline, diesel fuel or kleenex for the trip back to Podunk, Iowa.

So while they MAY get some help getting TO Washington, they are going to get nothing to return home.

Even a car or SUV driver will easily spend $300-400 driving across the continent. As has been pointed out, a semi can cost $1,500.

Add to the costs the fact that those semi drivers are giving up two weeks or more of revenue. They still have to make the payments (which are probably substantial) on their rigs.

Truck convoy protesting vaccine mandates pulls plug before reaching Kansas, Missouri
Source: Kansas City Star

A truck convoy scheduled to roll through Kansas and Missouri on Sunday and Monday on its way to the nation’s capital to protest vaccine mandates pulled the plug early Saturday. In a post on their Facebook page at 1:53 a.m., organizers of “Freedom Convoy USA 2022” said there weren’t enough participants to continue. “The launch in California had a good turn out of supporters, but only 5 trucks were with us on arrival in Vegas,” the post said. “There are 2 other convoys that have massive turnouts, and are in progress to the DC area as we speak. They are The People’s Convoy (which was the first convoy to launch out of Cali) which is in New Mexico now and the Texas Convoy which departs soon.”

The post said truckers who planned to meet their convoy along the way should start heading to D.C. or join the other convoys, which were about to merge into one. They said the $6,500 that had been raised for the trip “will be dispersed to these truckers when they arrive to Maryland and DC.”

They are getting $6500 each? Because otherwise they may have enough to buy a cheeseburger when they get there.

All those convoy pictures just look like the regular truck traffic along I-20 through here every day. Bumper to bumper 18 wheelers who probably have no idea what the damn convoy even is. I could go take a picture of the interstate through town and post it and say "look how many truckers have joined!" and nobody would know the difference. Other than the occasional flag or sign on some of the trucks, there's no indication they're actually part of the convoy. As a matter of fact, I would guess all the trucks passing them were not involved.

Dude rents truck from Penske to take part in the convoy. Penske finds out. Penske shuts down truck remotely.

Winning.
