There are signs about the 'CCP' and standard FB fare, so the organizers have already failed on the 'bipartisan' aspect.

I was with Betsy, one of the organizers, when she said on the phone to another reporter there were 30 trucks/vehicles in the convoy.

This is false. The convoy has never broken above 15 vehicles.

They’ve lost some during the pit stop, looks like 1 18w, 1 SUV, 4 pickup trucks

Obviously Bob doesn't care if there's political stuff in HIS little band, since one of the flags on the vehicle following him is 'FJB'. Oh, and Bob has a snakey flag, which is supposed to be off limits according to the 'official' people in Barstow  .

Anyone saying this is a “small fringe group with the wrong ideas” isn’t paying attention. Took over 58 minutes for all vehicles to roll out!
Pretty classy and non-political, I dunno!

I’m currently out in Washington, D.C. area traffic attempting to locate Scranton-based trucker Bob Bolus’ tiny convoy and there are three big problems: Bolus has no idea where he is going, is stuck in traffic, and has no idea where he is.

More non-political slogans.
A DC trucker convoy group shared a video of children drawing on trucks before they supposedly take off for DC; though it's unclear whether they were drawn by one of the kids or someone else, the slogans seen on the hood are unmistakably QAnon rallying cries.

It will be interesting to see how the promotion-of-insurrection right wing channels cover this event given international considerations.

The right wing worship of Russia, given that Russia is a fairly minimal economy (Italy is larger). In fact, California’s economy is 80% larger than Russia’s— and the economies of Texas and New York are larger. They never seem to have that perspective…

COLLEGE PARK, MARYLAND—At first, ardently MAGA trucker Bob Bolus vowed that his makeshift “freedom convoy” making a beeline from Scranton, Pennsylvania to D.C. this week would “choke” the nation’s capital like a boa constrictor in protest of vaccine mandates.

But on Wednesday, when his overhyped convoy turned out to be a piddly procession of one, Bolus backtracked, telling The Daily Beast that his plans have changed and he will not attempt to interfere with traffic.

“We’re not putting a chokehold on D.C. today,” the Pennsylvania-based trucker, who in 2012 served prison time for insurance fraud, told The Daily Beast by phone shortly after noon. But he said he still has hopes of one day disrupting Beltway traffic: “Not to say that it wouldn’t happen in the very near future. It’s just going to be an idea of what’s to come.”

This particular wing of the convoy movement was originally slated to arrive in the D.C. metro area around noon, with the hopes of causing a gridlock blockade like the Canadian anti-vaccine mandate trucker demonstration that caused chaos in Ottawa until it was dispersed by police. Earlier this week, the Pentagon approved the use of nearly 700 National Guard personnel to assist local authorities with the possibility of multiple convoys blocking up the D.C. area.

But now, as Bolus confessed to The Daily Beast, his tiny convoy will just “peacefully” sit in Beltway traffic and not attempt to cause any such backup.

Well, the 15 semi drivers who show up will NOT be happy about spending hundreds of dollars for the gasoline necessary to drive from western states. Those from the west coast could easily spend over a $1500 on gas.

Yes, I actually researched this.

AZ denizens ponied up over $120k for the Canadian protest, I'm sure there are plenty of willing donors if they manage to open a conduit via GiveSendGo or whatever slimy site will have them.

Unfortunately.

Possibly. But Bob Bolus has now announced that he's not doing anything. I guess some other driver can organize this, but will they?

But, I just checked Twitter. More are joining the convoy.
