Part I of T S Eliot's The Hollow Men seems apt:
We are the hollow men
We are the stuffed men
Leaning together
Headpiece filled with straw. Alas!
Our dried voices, when
We whisper together
Are quiet and meaningless
As wind in dry grass
Or rats' feet over broken glass
In our dry cellar

Shape without form, shade without colour,
Paralysed force, gesture without motion;

Those who have crossed
With direct eyes, to death's other Kingdom
Remember us-if at all-not as lost
Violent souls, but only
As the hollow men
The stuffed men.
Along, of course, with the last four lines of Part V:

This is the way the world ends
This is the way the world ends
This is the way the world ends
Not with a bang but a whimper.

When you've had at least once incident involving a sex offender being kicked out, it might be the reason you have a scheduling conflict with a convoy for kids. I mean, it just looks bad. You might just expose the child molesters they have already.

Thur evening meeting:

*A toddler is celebrating her 3rd birthday with the convoy.

*Using another child up front for motivational reasons.

*Santa ... is full of shit

*Oh god ... the gov is going to send troops after, I guess, the convoy? All Americans? Santa is ranting, so who knows?

*We "workers" for the other side "are being used!".

*Santa has to repeat, every damn day, that they're peaceful. That leads me to wonder what is being said behind closed vehicle doors.

*"Where are the MEN TODAY!?"

*DC is so dangerous that Santa doesn't want children, elders, or women there. He brought up 2 elderly members to talk about how brave they are because they're fragile old people. Ffs.

*"Where are the ABLE-BODIED YOUNG MEN?!"

*"It should not be the ladies that have the backbone in this fight. It should be men!"

*Santa corrects himself because he's not sexist. So, where are the ABLE-BODIED WOMEN?

*Now everyone is standing behind Santa because they're a family.

*New pamphlets! The convoy is going to hand out pamphlets like my grandfather passed out bible tracts.

The end.

truckers will seek to enter D.C. proper with the hopes of occupying the city.
Occupy? With what numbers? They will get lost in the streets and the K9 will be needed to find the survivors :cantlook:

I'm sure they expect to wind their way onto the mall in front of the Capitol, where they will park their trucks & hooptys, pitch their ratty tents, and the adoring crowds of supporters who have been scared off by Antifa until now will finally appear by the thousands to cheer them on as they honk their horns until Nancy Pelosi, bullets sweating in her shaky boots, comes forth and bows to their totally coherent & well articulated demand(s).

Voluntary frogmarching, though, because any other frogmarching might be seen as violence, and they're not violent because proud boy Santa sez so.

The convoy is broke. I'm sure Santa knows that. So what better way to end the convoy than to blow your final fuel bill on a charge at the capitol?

Morning updates.

*There was no convoy meeting this morning.

*Mechanic Eric has finally caught up with the convoy. He was helping another member and stayed with her until her issues were sorted. She finally consented to get her car repaired at a shop after 3 mechanics told her she had to go to a shop. This required arranging donations for a hotel room. The first hotel was unacceptable to her. The hotel had pay porn channels and rented rooms by the hour. (I understand that that might be really unappealing, but dear god. How much can you demand to get for free from a group?)

*Proud Boy X-ray, a real POS, is driving to rejoin the convoy. He left for a week to work. His car's check engine light just went on.

*X-ray is bringing "reinforcements"! Very, very few reinforcements. One reinforcement is an elderly couple in their 80s. The other is a guy the left the convoy temporarily. He probably has only 2 vehicles following him.

*Freedom Ford, who left the group on Wed, has broken down in CO. He was kicked out of the group after a fight with Santa.

*Santa expects a ruling from SCOTUS on Mon, that wil overturn the 2020 election.

*Minor accident: a few with the convoy had a car accident at a fuel stop.

*Laverne, a semi driver, has to leave the convoy. His truck needs $2400 in repairs, which he can't afford.

*Santa, as always, is FOS. He claims DC Metro reached out to him to offer the convoy a permit. Alas, it's the National Park Service that issues permits.

*The convoy plans to enter DC on the 17th. I seriously doubt the convoy has a permit to do anything that day. Which is actually really bad news. I think this means they plan to go to the pro-choice protest to harass people one-on-one.

Edit: X-ray has 5 vehicles with him!

Yeah - it's all over the news - the prediction of shortage for the summer!

These nuckleheads hope to reach their destination in the next days :brickwallsmall:

I'd be more concerned that the participants can pay their fuel bill to return home.

Sat rally coverage.

*Rally began at 11:00 am EDT in Burbank, OH.

*Dear god.

*I'm thinking about offering the convoy lead singer a few voice lessons for my own sanity.

*Local truckers open the rally. It's hard to understand them because they're weeping.

*Crazy lady is speaking. She's trying to talk while sobbing. I'm interpreting this to the best of my ability.

*Mom's teenage daughter attempted suicide and was put in a psych unit after her suicide attempt. (I think her daughter was on a 72 hour hold.)

I think mom said her daughter "escaped". That cannot be true.

After the hold, mom refused to let her daughter stay in the psych until. Mom was told that her daughter needed to remain in the hospital, but mom checked her daughter out AMA.

Mom is furious because she had to sign a letter that said she understood that, if her daughter attempted suicide again, mom would be arrested.**

*Another speaker: Everybody was pumped about the Canadian protests. Then they were excited about the American People’s Convoy. Horrible events followed. The convoy wasn't allowed into DC! It's our capital and y'all weren't allowed in!

**Where are the other Americans?! There should be thousands of vehicles!!

*Righteous anger! Dept of defense!

*Speaker was a civilian employee with the DOD. He retired rather than getting the vaccine.

*People lost jobs in military for refusing the vaccine!! Even if they served 19 years, they got a dishonorable discharge, now no veteran's benefits, no pension.

*Military morale is devastated. Military wants to reprogram you to make you compliant. They're coerced!

*RIGHTEOUS ANGER!

*Are we making a difference? Just think of the military.

*New speaker. Anti-vaxx. Has a master's in nursing.

*God

*Distractions! Taking away attention from the convoy.

*Y'all need a new approach. I'm happy to talk with you about this.

*CDC tracking phones.

*Upcoming distractions. Children. National treaty. Global agenda!

*We watch, we monitor.

*WHO! Globalist agenda!! (Convoy is getting into the WHO conspiracy theories.)

* We need global action ... in our home town.

*Contact your Sheriff! It's BIBLICAL!

*CDC want to take over local health issues!

*Text us with "convoy". Links you to call to action, including how to get a vaccine exemption.

*Another speaker. State convoy trucker. Uggg. Typical conspiracy theories.

*What can you do? VOTE! Start a local branch of the John Birch Society!

*Another speaker. The social media platforms failed us. (Huh?)

Bla bla bla

*Another speaker. We NEED LIONS!

*His granddaughter had a heart transplant at age 4 and parents were told that they had to vaccinate their daughter or she might not be allowed on the transplant list if she needs another transplant in the future.

*Make-a-wish foundation requires those doing walking fundraisers be vaccinated!

*Another speaker. Media won't give us positive coverage!!

*Convoy interrupted a wake in DC.

bla bla bla

*Another speaker. Trucker G. PATRIOTIC POETRY!

*Another speaker. They have a preteen as a rally speaker again. They say he writes his own speeches, but he doesn't.

*Another speaker. Bryant. The 80ish man died twice, was put in hospice to die. Seeing the convoy on tv made him better. He joined the convoy.

*Proud Boy Santa***. Founding fathers.

bla bla bla

*Santa now says that a detective from DC contacted him. Offered to help the convoy to set up a permit for the 17th. Santa said no because he's "sick and tired of asking the government if I can exercise my individual liberties.".****

--The End--

**Mom doesn't fill in the blanks about why she had to sign the form. She's legally liable because she let her daughter leave AMA. Which makes sense. When a parent withholds medical treatment, they are legally liable for the child's emergency needs.

***I must admit, PB Santa knows how motivate nutters.

****I do think that this call happened. I doubt Santa is being honest about the content of the call. But I do think the police called him.

Additional stuff.

The convoy leaves for DC on 5/16. I think they're hoping to camp at Bunker Hill Dragstrip in WV. There is little info about where the group hopes to camp, so this is my best guess based on snippets of info.

Wherever the group camps, the owners are requiring that the convoy pay before they come. I have no idea how fundraising is going.

The drive from Burbank to the dragstrip is 330 miles. Google estimates that drive to be 6 hours without breaks. Monday’s drive will be interesting. Since leaving ID, the convoy’s average speed is about 40 mph. Several cars break down on each driving day. How the group plans to drive 330 miles in one day ... wtf.

The convoy plans to "occupy" DC. Won't happen. The beltway will be closed. There will be no parking in DC because 17,000 people are protesting the overturn of Roe v Wade. All streets going to the National Monument will be closed.

The convoy is leaving the women and children behind at camp on the 17th.

I think the convoy wants some members to get arrested. They're dying for media coverage.

I hope there won't be violence. Many males are biting at the bit to behave violently. There are a few insurrectionists with the convoy.
