Died twice Bryant still lives!!
An ambulance was called to the rally. Bryant refused to go to the hospital.

They got back to the Bunker Hill base-camp cult compound. Fire/EMS was called. Nope, Bryant refused yet again after getting checked out by EMTs.

I was told during CPR training no one dies and comes back; that's a TV drama thing.
He should have to pay for the ambulance since they came out and since someone else might have needed it.
Do any of these freedom-loving homeless campers have CPR training and a defibrillator handy?

Depends on the definition of "dies." People absolutely do come back from no heartbeat and no respiration for a certain period of time after either/both cease. That's not the medical definition of death, but is what most people think of as dead.pipistrelle wrote: ↑Sun Jun 19, 2022 7:47 amI was told during CPR training no one dies and comes back; that's a TV drama thing.

From past experience, Berkeley Springs is a perfect place for them. The princess and I visited there several times. It is a hotbed of Trumpers. In the leadup to Trump’s election the yard signs were easily 20-1 in favor of Trump.
Also interesting during other trips conversations overheard at neighboring lunch and dinner tables were a lot of “birther.”
There is, however, a great old hotel there with an excellent restaurant and spa, and the hot springs are wonderful.
And there’s a castle.

Back in Hagerstown, the cult did request that someone donate a defibrillator or money for a defibrillator. I don't remember if the cult got one.pipistrelle wrote: ↑Sun Jun 19, 2022 7:47 amI was told during CPR training no one dies and comes back; that's a TV drama thing.

The nurses went home ages ago. I assume all of the first aid supplies were left behind.
Bryant is full of shit. He claims that, after he was told he had 3 days to live, he entered hospice. While waiting to die, he watched the convoy and became so inspired that he magically became well enough to drive his own damn semi. For months now. He has comes and goes, likely for health reasons. His daughter helps him when necessary.
Iirc, he accidentally said he died 3 times one day. But don't quote me on that.
Bryant is out there driving a huge semi but can barely walk.
The man is a walking corpse. I'm surprised that Santa allows Bryant to stay at camp. But the cult is now very small, and needs every semi it can get.
Good decisions.

Mildly concerned because we are at ~5:30pm and Oreo has not lit a live stream today. Strange as he is now on-site 24/7.

These folks still think I'm a supporter. That why I've posted the below comment as if I'm a supporter.
These people are parasites. They use Bryant for advertising purposes. It's at least 110 degrees on the asphalt. Bryant is a walking corpse.

Yeah, but 100% of dead people don't have a heartbeat. For long anyway.

On CPR and death: one doctor explained the low success of CPR and why appropriate DNR (or DNACPR) notices are good by saying something like "Look, the patient is essentially dead at the point we start CPR, definitely dead if we don't intervene. Bringing very sick people back to life is difficult and doesn't usually work and if the patient was very sick beforehand, s/he is even sticker afterwards."
So I don't have a problem with seeing CPR as bringing the patient/victim back from death. But it doesn't sound right to have someone refer to two successful events as dying twice. No, it's not dying rwice!

It's been a long time but I think the nurse was talking about flatlining when in ventricular fibrillation. If I'm remembering right, there's no coming back from that, at least according to her.Sam the Centipede wrote: ↑Mon Jun 20, 2022 8:53 am On CPR and death: one doctor explained the low success of CPR and why appropriate DNR (or DNACPR) notices are good by saying something like "Look, the patient is essentially dead at the point we start CPR, definitely dead if we don't intervene. Re: American Peoples Convoy Protest
So. It's been an interesting evening.
All day today (literally), the 1776 has been searching high and low for oxygen canisters for Bryant. Of course the morons didn't know that you need a prescription for oxygen canisters. They finally sent out a call for donations of used canisters. They also need a compressor.
There was post after post on various social media begging people to "respect Bryant's wishes". They asserted that he's "where he wants to be" and is "ready to meet his Lord".
At approx 9pm est, I called the police dept and asked that a wellness check be done. I made certain that the dispatcher knew I was calling only about Bryant. I told her that my call was not about the convoy but rather one elderly man with the convoy. I explained that I'm a mandatory reporter and felt that Bryant needed to be checked on.
An ambulance soon arrived. Bryant seems to be competent enough to deny medical services. Which he did. That's fine. As long as Bryant is competent, he has the right to be an idiot.
Right after the ambulance left, Bryan's daughter posted this on FB.
The convoy is PISSED that someone called requesting that Bryant be checked on. They don't know who called. But they want me arrested for misusing emergency services. They want police to track me down (I gave police my real name and phone number). I am Satan, trying to abuse Bryant's rights.
"His body, his choice."
But women don't get that right. But I digress.
My favorite insult: "These trolls are a brick short of a loud."
Oreo's mods couldn't get his livechat under control as this happened. Oreo finally shut down his livestream.
What does Bryant have for oxygen right now? Oxygen boosts.
A nurse friend said that it's possible that social services will drop by tomorrow to get Bryant anything he needs or wants to stay comfortable. I hope that happens.
The rage by the group and their followers is interesting. They have a terminally ill elderly man camping in a parking lot who is struggling to breathe. A mandatory reporter requests a wellness check, and that caller is EVIL!

He's being kept comfortable but can't breathe?
Edit: WebMD:
Doesn't sound like it's what he needs.Proponents of this oxygen "therapy" say it boosts energy levels, increases your endurance during exercise, helps you bounce back more quickly from physical exertion, provides relief from stress and pollution, increases your concentration, helps you relax, and eases headaches and hangovers.

And how weird to hear your dad tell you he doesn't want to die anywhere near you.
