LMK, posted that GMA interview March 2... do I put too many things in my posts? I'm sorry, when start researching I put a lot in there. Sorry you had to look again for that interview. Agree with you that it gives some insight into what's going on there.

Still saving my tweet to totally unrepentant Nicole Reffitt until after he's found guilty, which I'd put 10 cents on.

Damn right Pipi. Nicole Reffitt is totally unrepentant and it's surprising she wasn't there too, she tweets that crap that he's a "POW" & stuff. They deserve each other (behind bars).

Look at this beauty. If Foggy wasn't so committed to his pal Amy Kremer, I'd be a little worried he'd end up hanging out with Nicole which Guy is in the Big House.

She takes a whack at Zoe Tillman.

Guy Reffitt is scheduled to be sentenced before Judge Friedrich on June 8 at 10am; it's expected to be in-person. We'll get sentencing memos by May 25.

Friedrich asks the govt if they expect to present victim testimony, AUSA Jeffrey Nestler says possibly.

I'm relieved that sentencing is happening somewhat soon.

I have absolutely no idea how long Reffitt's sentence will be. 2 of the 6 charges are up to 20 years.

I wonder if any other not-guilty asshats will now reconsider, or wait until after sentencing.

If their lawyers were smart and wanted wanting to get away from the idiots, they'd tell their clients now what Reffitt is looking at and tell them they may want to take a deal while still able...after sentencing the government may decide they'd like to lock them ALL away for years.

Zoe is on it.
The most serious charges that Reffitt was found guilty of, at least in terms of time behind bars, are the two obstruction counts (obstructing an official proceeding + obstructing justice by threatening his children), which each carry up to 20 years in prison

Carrying a gun into a restricted area has a max sentence of 10 years in prison. Without the weapons element, it's a misdemeanor with up to 1 year in prison — Reffitt's lawyer's pitch had been for the jury to only find his client guilty of that lesser offense

The last two counts, both under the civil disorder umbrella, have max sentences of up to five years in prison

How much prison time (or other punishment) is he potentially looking at?

Has the prosecution said anything about the sentence they are asking for?

Just interviewed a juror. She said case was “simple”, no dissenting voice in jury room. Son’s testimony was powerful, she said. And the lack of a defense presentation was telling. Exclusive for

Juror says they weren’t “trying to make a statement” with quick verdict. But she hopes they did. More on

I once tried to figure out the potential sentence using the federal sentence guidelines. It was an unpleasant experience so I have decided to move on to things that are simpler, like building a Saturn V rocket from scratch. That's just rocket science.

This is wonderful news, and in a way I'm glad it went to trial, because the judge got a lot more information upon which to base a sentence. If he pleads guilty, there's a thorough sentencing report, but this is more detailed and powerful. I have a feeling when he remembers the last plea bargain he was offered, he's going to be very, very sorry he insisted on a trial.

Too also, I want to stress how super-important it is that:

1) The first case to go to trial was a slam dunk with the jury telling reporters it was an easy case, and

2) The first case was one of the worst cases, so they didn't have anything come up to mitigate what the rioters did, and they set a tone for the future.

I am not disappoint.

GR was offered at least one plea deal.

Who wants to tell NR that it was a jury of her husband's peers that found him guilty,, not the prosecution?
