Granted, I haven’t live in DC since the 80s, but at that time the Beltway was kinda useless for getting around. It was always under construction somewhere and constricted; the city outgrew it long ago and most denizens have two or three alternative routes to anywhere they want to go.

I-84 is closed eastbound and westbound to all traffic in eastern Oregon. Eastbound is closed between Exit 216 (six miles east of Pendleton) and Exit 265 (La Grande). Westbound is closed to between Exit 374 (Ontario) and Exit 216. The closures are due to multiple vehicle crashes near milepost 230. The westbound freeway is closed at Ontario due to limited parking space in Baker City and La Grande. Local traffic may be able to access the westbound freeway between Ontario and Baker City to get home (check for more information by clicking the closure icon on TripCheck.com). This is expected to be an extended closure lasting all night for westbound freeway and several hours for eastbound freeway. OR 204 (Tollgate Highway) and OR 245 are also closed to all but local traffic. These are not viable detour routes for freeway traffic.

Such outrage over police overreach and general meanness by picking on these poor peaceful protesters.

So I flash back to the 2020 protests over the George Floyd killing and all those protesters that so OUTRAGED the folks at Fox and why didn't someone step in to enforce and break this stuff up? Portland? Where was the National Guard? Seattle? Where was Mayor Jenny and getting the police in to break up the Chop Zone?

Why is it OK to demand officials for one party to enforce the rules, but such outrage when it's not on their message?
