Quite a bit, yes. I'm not sure what it is that's causing it, but it could actually be my diabetes getting worse.

Another floof shot, this time featuring the flooftail. This is her preferred evening position.

Yep, that's a cat. Seen that before. The cat runs up until it realizes the human does not have food. Then, you are nothing to them.

I think you're right. Son says there used to be cases and cases of chicken at the grocery stores, mostly Foster Farms but now there are mostly boutique brands and very little variety.sugar magnolia wrote: ↑Tue Dec 14, 2021 5:36 pm I'm guessing it might be related to this?

There was supposed to be a shortage of turkey before Thanksgiving that was in all of the news. It didn't pan out. There's plenty of turkey FF.
Why is no one talking about the chicken shortage?
Just bought 24 cans for $64 on Amazon and they're out of stock again.

Re: Cats!
Just to preface: I'm not really a cat person. Very much a dog person. I like cats just fine, they are pretty, soft, fun to pet on occasion. But my roommates cat Trouble has adopted me. I'm her bestie it seems.
She hangs out in my room. Climbs all over my chair when I'm in the office. Headbutts my arm when I'm sitting and trying to work/type from the arm of the chair. At night, she will pat my nose with her claws out, walk all over me while purring and mewing the most pitiful mew I have ever heard.
Why? Why did I get picked to be the bestie?
Her sister, Mischief (yes, littermates) is a bit more laid back, but I can't be at the kitchen counter without her jumping on the stool and headbutting me. Or if I sit on the chair in the living room, she is crawling all over me.
So I guess they like me? Is that it?

Nope. Don't feed them. Don't give them treats. Just fill my dogs water bowl which they occasionally drink out of.

Re: Cats!
Cats are always on a publicity campaign, if you like cats they look right through you if you aren’t a cat person they feel they can convert you. =^..^=
Re: Cats!
Face it, they have adopted you, Jez. There is something about you they clearly like. Animals, even cats, seem to have a real instinct for whether someone is a "good guy". and as much as you might try to hide it, they sense it.
My Poohie adopted a man that I dated who didn't care for cats. He was so touched by the fact that she seemed to really love him that he became quite fond of cats just because of her attention to him.

There's a lot of things that need to change. One specifically? Police brutality.

Re: Cats!
When I was still living with my parents, I used to invite guys I was interested in or dating over to the house so I could have them meet my dog, Dorothy. She had an almost unfailing instinct for knowing who was a 1st class jerk or real gem. If she liked a guy, he was trash, and if she disliked or was afraid of him, he was worth getting to know better. Dorothy was a wonderful dog, she just somehow had her "good/bad person" instinct calibration off by 180 degrees.
