I'm playing Devil's Advocate here.

I know Oz's Pennsylvania residence credentials are really so nonexistent that they should have been rejected by Pennsylvania election officials, but...

Wasn't Ted Kennedy's Massachusetts residence challenged too? He was a New Yorker, but of course he did have strong Massachusetts ties.

And wasn't Hillary Clinton really an Arkansas resident before parachuting into New York? Seems to me, she is/was pretty close to 'venue shopping' when she looked around for a winnable seat.
Has everybody heard about the bird?

Clinton was criticized, IIRC. And Stefanik claimed her parents' cabin as her residence, also IIRC. The criticism is less about venue shopping than Oz not knowing anything, and I mean ANYTHING, about Pennsylvania. Everything he does, from crudités to tequila, proves he doesn't, whether we are talking about the chronically poor of Philadelphia, the farmer of central PA, or the young person working the Sheetz cash register anywhere. Or the various cultures. Anything.

Clinton was asked to run for the Senate seat when the long time Democratic incumbent decided to retire. The venue shopped her.

My brother Jeff and I were really inspired by
@DrOz
's crudité video, so we decided to make a song with his poetic lyrics.

There were definite carpetbagger attacks at the time, but she made it her home.

Regarding Hillary,

I believe that New York only has a six-month residency requirement, and she up and moved to New York in time.

tfg announced he was moving to Merry-Lago in 2019 (I think) when NY was starting to close in on him.

The muse is whispering again...

Crudité, crudité Wegner's does not have
Inexpensive veggies eh, crudité.
Crudité, crudité Wegner's does not have
Inexpensive veggies eh, crudité.

A Jersey man called Dr. Oz went to go shopping,
When he found the produce aisle, he fled the store sobbing.

Crudité, crudité Wegner's does not have
Inexpensive veggies eh, crudité.
Crudité, crudité Wegner's does not have
Inexpensive veggies eh, crudité.

Carrots and asparagus in bunches so giant,
Broccoli priced so high; he blamed it all on Biden.

Crudité, crudité Wegner's does not have
Inexpensive veggies eh, crudité.
Crudité, crudité Wegner's does not have
Inexpensive veggies eh, crudité.

Handmade salsa and some guac, surely just a dollar.
When he tried to add it up, he began to holler.

Crudité, crudité Wegner's does not have
Inexpensive veggies eh, crudité.
Crudité, crudité Wegner's does not have
Inexpensive veggies eh, crudité.

Shocked by produced priced so high, turned he then to liquor,
But as Pennsylvanians know, he was in the wrong store.

Crudité, crudité Wegner's does not have
Inexpensive veggies eh, crudité.
Crudité, crudité Wegner's does not have
Inexpensive veggies eh, crudité.

Hannity Threatens Legal Action Against ‘Lying Loser’ John Fetterman Over Fundraising Texts: ‘He May Be Hearing From My Lawyers Very Shortly’

By Joe DePaolo
Aug 24th, 2022, 8:28 am

Sean Hannity is threatening legal action against John Fetterman over fundraising texts the Pennsylvania Senate candidate has been sending.

In a scalding monologue on Fox News Tuesday, Hannity accused Fetterman of lying about him in the texts — in which the Senate candidate claimed that Hannity spread lies in during a recent interview with Fetterman’s opponent, Mehmet Oz.

“As of now, the Fetterman campaign is refusing to debate Doctor [Mehmet] Oz, also refusing my invitation to appear on the program — as he and his campaign have been lying about me, raising money off of my name, he apparently yet another fundraising text, attacking me, lying about me, calling me a liar,” Hannity said. “Every day he lies about me, I’ll continue to tell the truth about his radical, extreme positions.”

The Fox News host then threatened legal action against Fetterman.

Emails between Dr. Mehmet Oz and former President Donald Trump's son-in-law and senior White House advisor, Jared Kushner, have been made public, and the conversation that ensued is raising eyebrows. According to Insider, the Select House Committee on the Coronavirus Crisis unearthed the emails and made them public.

The messages in question were sent by Oz, who was adamant about prescribing hydroxychloroquine to treat COVID-19 though there were no trials or proof that the drug was a treatment option for the virus. "We cannot hide behind study protocols if we are not allowed to proceed," Oz said to Kushner (via Insider). "I want to push brave Americans to join trials on my show tomorrow, but cannot without a game plan for accessing drugs," adding that he would recruit patients for the trials and pay for it himself. Hydroxychloroquine is a treatment for malaria.

The findings were issued in a report that claims Trump and his administration interfered with the FDA during the early days of the COVID-19 pandemic by endorsing vaccines and treatments that were unproven to remedy the virus. Oz was at the center of the push for experimental drugs like hydroxychloroquine, the committee reports (per The Philadelphia Inquirer).

Umm ... does that mean, if they were allowed to proceed, then they could hide behind study protocols? :confuzzled:

I'm filking a 16th century Chrstmas carol, "Gaudete" (sung in Latin, of course). Gaudete and crudité sound so similar that the song kept cycling through my head. When that happens, you guys reap the benefits.

Dr. Vicklund cried out in mock pain when I sang it to her. She's not all that fond of my propensity for word play. :notlistening: She did start laughing part way through.

For those who want to hear a version of the carol. Done it many times with my choirs.
