Sadly, it's a fake photo. The woman was actually holding the sign normally.

It has started a real meme however, including one person who now has "NO" "ON" "OZ" in his/her garden.

FETTERMAN IS A LEFTWING NUT JOB!

So screamed an email I got today that had sorted itself into "Junk."

Where it stayed for 5 seconds until I emptied "Junk."

Too bad I'll never know what makes him one.

They're playing the same old classics, aren't they?

He wants to empty the prisons, stop life sentences for murder, set up sanctuary cities. And, yes, yes, they are.

John Fetterman, the Democratic candidate for US Senate in Pennsylvania, said he would not debate Mehmet Oz next week, after the Republican’s campaign mocked his health again.

Fetterman, 53, had a serious stroke in May. He returned to the campaign trail this month and has discussed the challenges of doing so.

“Dr Oz’s team … think it is funny to mock a stroke survivor,” Fetterman said.

Fetterman suffered a stroke in May and returned to the campaign trail this month. He leads Oz by about nine points in polls.

Oz, a heart surgeon, made his name as a TV doctor (who admitted in Senate testimony to promoting diet pills which “don’t have the scientific muster to present as fact”). His campaign has chosen to question Fetterman’s health. On Tuesday, it invited the Democrat to a debate next week.

The campaign said: “Dr Oz promises not to intentionally hurt John’s feelings at any point. We will allow John to have all of his notes in front of him along with an earpiece so you can have the answers given to him by his staff in real time.

Dr. Oz: Abortion is murder from the time of conception, except for when it's not

Mehmet Oz, the television snake oil huckster and Republican candidate for Senate in Pennsylvania, has had what you might call a devolution in his thinking on abortion. He’s gone from approaching the issue as a medical practitioner to a typical Republican, telling his audience whatever he thinks they want to hear. In the case of a tele-town hall audience earlier this year, it’s the most extreme message: life begins at conception.

The Daily Beast obtained audio of a campaign event in May, a week before the Republican primary, in which he told voters he believed that abortion is “still murder” from the moment the sperm enters the egg. “I do believe life starts at conception, and I’ve said that multiple times,” he told the audience. “If life starts at conception,” Oz added, “why do you care what age the heart starts beating at? It’s, you know, it’s still murder, if you were to terminate a child whether their heart’s beating or not.”

That question came up from an attendee about Oz’s previous life as a TV doctor in 2019, when he opined about the arbitrary six-week bans in a Breakfast Club interview. “If you’re going to define life by a beating heart,” he said in 2019, “then make it a beating heart, not little electrical exchanges in the cell that no one would hear or think about as a heart.” Oz also said that he was “really worried” about the harmful health effects if federal abortion protections were overturned by the Supreme Court.

Oz in his capacity as a physician, the 2019 version of Oz, sounded pretty pro-choice in that interview. “Just being logical about it,” Oz said then, “if you think that the moment of conception you’ve got a life, then why would you even wait six weeks? Right, then an in vitro fertilized egg is still a life.”

Which is apparently what 2022 Oz believes:

Dr. Oz Tries To Come For Two ‘Wrongfully Convicted Black Men.’ Then Gets Properly Dragged For It

Republican U.S. Senate candidate Mehmet Oz greets supporters after the primary race resulted in an automatic re-count due to close results on May 17, 2022, in Newtown, Pennsylvania. Television personality Oz, endorsed by former President Donald Trump, finished in a virtual dead heat with former George W. Bush administration official Dave McCormick with 95 percent of the vote reported.

Bush administration official Dave McCormick with 95 percent of the vote reported.

We are about to hit the home stretch in the fight for Senate control and Republican candidate Dr. Mehmet Oz can’t seem to stop himself from saying the wrong things. Last week, he made light of his Democratic opponent Pennsylvania Lt. Gov. John Fetterman’s health. Now, his campaign is going after two Black campaign staffers who were wrongly convicted of second-degree murder.

As Business Insider notes, Oz’s campaign released a press release referring to Lee and Dennis Horton as convicted murderers. They also doubled down on that notion in a Twitter post, saying the brothers “were convicted in the murder and are now paid by [Fetterman’s] campaign.”

Fetterman slams Oz demand that he fire 'wrongfully convicted' brothers who received clemency over 1993 murder

Charles R. Davis

The Oz campaign called on Pennsylvania Lt. Gov. John Fetterman to fire "convicted murderers" on his staff.

Fetterman employs two brothers, Dennis and Lee Horton, who were granted clemency in 2021.

"Does Dr. Oz believe that the wrongfully convicted should die in prison?" Fetterman asked in a statement.

Pennsylvania Lt. Gov. John Fetterman on Thursday rejected a "sad and desperate" demand from his rival that he fire from his campaign staff two brothers who were granted clemency after arguing they were wrongfully convicted of second-degree murder.

In 1993, Lee and Dennis Horton were accused of providing a ride to a friend who killed a man at a Philadelphia bar. The brothers, who insisted they were innocent, declined plea bargains that would have seen them released from prison in 5 to 10 years, The Philadelphia Inquirer reported, and received life sentences instead.

They were ultimately released in 2021 after the Pennsylvania Board of Pardons, which Fetterman chairs, unanimously recommended that their sentences be commuted.

The Oz campaign, in a press release Thursday morning, referred to the Hortons simply as "convicted murderers," however, part of a months-long effort to paint their Democratic opponent as lenient on crime.

With all the time time Fetterman spends being Lieutenant Governor and chairing the Pennsylvania Board of Pardons, among other things, I wonder where Oz thinks he gets all this time to spend in his parent’s basement.

But he grew up just south of Philadelphia…

(Oz actually grew up in Delaware, which is just a little more south of Philadelphia. To be clear.)
