Well the theme of CPAC2021 is ‘America Uncanceled’.

And they’ve just canceled one of their horrid speakers.

Photos would go well with most of these:

Why the Left Hates the Bill of Rights... and We Love It- Senator Mike Lee - Photo of the gov clearing the street so Trump can use a nearby church and a bible as a prop.

Bill of Rights, Liberty, and Cancel Culture - Senator Ted Cruz - Photo of kneeling for the anthem and George Floyd

Keeping America Safe - Senator Tom Cotton - Separate Children in cages and photo of Capitol Rioters

California Socialism: Promising Heaven, Delivering Hell - Rep. Devin Nunes interviewed by Trent England of Save our States - Photo of Texas last week

McCarthy may deserve his own thread, the little weasel, but here's a good clip of Liz Cheney rebuking him in real time at his own press conference.

The single biggest difference I see between CPAC 2021 and previous CPACs: No NRA sponsorship. They've been six-figure supporters for years, build a giant booth in exhibit hall, get Wayne LaPierre onstage for a stemwinder. But they've been going through a rough patch.

That's why it's called a cult.

It's worse than that, it's an insurrection, I think we're witnessing the end of the US, they are willing to follow the pied piper over the cliff, they think that Dems and liberals are their mortal enemies. How do we come back from that?

Is that statue/effigy supposed to be a “tribute” to the DFO? A deliberate attempt to make him look ridiculous? The prototype of a new bobble head? I believe the correct phrase is “that’s some weird shit”.

A sign at #CPAC2021 #CPAC pushing Trump's baseless claims of election fraud, claiming the numerous judges who dismissed Trump's legal cases (including multiple Trump-appointed judges) were "refusing to look at the evidence."
There are 7 panels on this this weekend.

Republicans are using Trump's false claims of election fraud to push for severe voting restrictions, including targeting mail-in voting and dropboxes - even in Florida, where DeSantis and the GOP had repeatedly said everything went smoothly #CPAC #CPAC2021

A golden image of Trump. No, I’m not kidding. Not only is it graven image but it’s also very third-world, dictator-like.

This and the other CPAC thread should be combined, I think.

I just can't handle CPAC this year. The Arkansas legislature is working to get an invite from the US Supremes to overturn Roe v. Wade and a Stand Your Ground Bill is on the Governor's desk. :x

Won't livetweet CPAC, but like 15 minutes in they're playing a video titled "YOUR VOTES CANCELLED," which lengthily suggests major fraud in the 2020 election. (Like, it ominously shows a CNN clip about how Biden started to look better late at night as ballots were counted.)

It then proceeds to a clips of people saying it was "impossible" and "very strange" that Biden gained ground as votes were counted on election night, then a clip of Rush Limbaugh saying it must have been the "vote fairy" arriving in swing states.

This is bad.

I thought Laura Loomer was banned from CPAC? But she posted a video of Ted Cruz snubbing her. She was asking him questions and he was ignoring her as best he could.

I laughed.
