Story by Aria Bell • Nov 30, 2022
Lynnette Hardaway, one-half of Diamond and Silk, was hospitalized with COVID during the Thanksgiving holiday. Hardaway, better known as Diamond, is a republican widely known for being one of Donald Trump’s “most loyal supporters” during his campaign and presidency. On Saturday, her sister Rochelle Richardson, aka Silk, logged into Twitter to request prayers for her sister who is fighting the good fight against COVID. “Anyone who believes in the power of prayer please pray for Diamond,” Richardson wrote on her sister’s Twitter page to update fans.

(Jan. 9, 2023) — The popular political- commentator sister duo known as “Diamond & Silk” has lost its primary namesake, whose real name is “Lynette Diamond Hardaway.” The two grew into an internet phenomenon following their 2015 public support of then-2016 presidential candidate Donald J. Trump, rising to fame as a result of their quick-witted chats, facial expressions and mannerisms, and outspoken criticism of the political status quo. On November 26, “Silk,” or “Rochelle Silk Richardson,” tweeted that her sister was in the hospital and requested prayers from followers.
The duo’s endeavors include the 2016 “Ditch and Switch Now” campaign urging Democrats to switch to the Republican Party in order to be able to vote for Trump in the primaries; decrying social-media “censorship,” including testifying to the House Judiciary Committee in 2018; speaking at CPAC in 2019; a show they hosted with live guests, “Chit Chat Live,” authoring a book, and maintaining a store featuring clothing, coffee mugs and bumper stickers which often boasted the slogan, “Trump Won.”

They also launched the group, “Women UNITED 4 Trump” and their own social-media outlet, “ChatDit” and were frequently featured on Mike Lindell’s Frankspeech website. In 2020, the sisters came out against the COVID-19 protocols advocated by U.S. public-health agencies, resulting in Twitter’s temporary suspension of their account.
At approximately 9:30 p.m. EST, Trump announced Diamond’s passing on his TruthSocial account, writing, “Really bad news for Republicans and frankly, ALL Americans. Our beautiful Diamond, of Diamond and Silk, has just passed away at her home in the State she loved so much, North Carolina. Silk was with her all the way, and at her passing. There was no better TEAM anywhere, or at any time! Diamond’s death was totally unexpected, probably her big and precious HEART just plain gave out. Rest In Peace our Magnificent Diamond, you will be greatly missed!”
Hardaway and Richardson were canceled by Fox News as a result of their claiming that COVID-19 could have been “man-made,” after which they were offered a show on Newsmax. The “man-made” theory of COVID’s origin is now accepted by some scientists, congressmen and media outlets after the mainstream press claimed it was “debunked.” A memorial service is to be announced shortly, the duo’s Twitter account reported Monday evening.

“Silk” of the Diamond and Silk duo threatened to sue a far-left ‘bishop’ for claiming her sister Lynette Hardaway died of Covid-19. Ineitha Lynette Hardaway, AKA, “Diamond” passed away at her home on Monday evening. She was 51.
The World just lost a True Angel and Warrior Patriot for Freedom, Love, and Humanity! Please respect the privacy of Diamond’s family! Memorial Ceremony TBA. Contributions towards Preserving Diamond’s Legacy are only being accepted at the following link:https://t.co/g6J6NlBXE7

The cause of death was not released, but that didn’t stop Talbert Swan, a hate-filled so-called ‘pastor’ from attacking Diamond and her family. “Lynette Hardaway, aka ‘Diamond’ from the MAGA Trump supporting duo Diamond and Silk, died from contracting what she called ‘a hoax’ better known as COVID-19.” the so-called ‘pastor’ Talbert Swan said. “The irony is palpable.” he added.
Silk, AKA, Rochelle Hardaway Richardson, threatened to sue Talbert Swan. “Well it looks like we have us another lying MOFO who calls himself a Bishop but acts more like a B!tch A$$.” Silk said on Twitter. “Where’s your proof that my sister died from contracting COVID-19?” “No Proof plus No Truth equates to a Lawsuit,” she said. Silk gave the pastor until 12 midnight to retract or face a lawsuit.
I don't like Diamond and Silk at all and I don't like feeling I need to defend them in any way, BUT...orlylicious wrote: ↑Wed Jan 11, 2023 9:36 pm Diamond was hospitalized in Nov and they didn't refute it was COVID, why they don't just admit it is another example of how fuc*ed up the MAGA GOP is.
Yeah, I had the same question, along with, doesn't a grieving sibling have anything better to do? But that's just me.
The surviving sister isn't obligated to affirm or deny. If she were smart, she'd not respond at all. How many celebrities die of "natural causes" and people let it go at that (especially if they're elderly and had good reputations)? In this case, she wasn't, to outward appearances she was healthy, and her sister just can't shut up on social media. And of course they aren't as well loved as they thought.Kriselda Gray wrote: ↑Wed Jan 11, 2023 11:24 pmBasically, they're not obligated to affirm or deny anything, perhaps especially something related to their health.orlylicious wrote: ↑Wed Jan 11, 2023 9:36 pm Diamond was hospitalized in Nov and they didn't refute it was COVID, why they don't just admit it is another example of how fuc*ed up the MAGA GOP is.
