Our eagle eyed forum members no doubt noticed that Paul never bends his right elbow.

That because in 1948 it was shattered in a bad car accident, he had it permanently set at just under a 90 degree angle so he could continue to play guitar...

Nick Cave and Warren Ellis documentary This Much I Know to Be True reunites Bad Seeds collaborators with director Andrew Dominik

This is a 'concert without an audience' documentary film. Best seen in a cinema (as I did) due to its 7.1 sound system, who knows if it will get a theatrical release anywhere besides Australia. There is more than just the performances, but that's the main heart of the film.

I'd say this is a must for Nick Cave fans, but it can be enjoyed by everyone. I'm not sure how to classify Cave's music, rock maybe, jazz maybe, avant garde maybe, experimental maybe, interesting for sure.

Our Mr. Northland may enjoy Warren Ellis sitting on the floor to use the foot pedals from a small organ that have been separated from the rest of the organ - I know I was.

That's a song composed by an Asian guy, in an African language, sung by a Mexican Girl and a White Dude, from a game about the rise of humanity. :confuzzled:  :daydreaming:

Remember kids, when setting up cameras to record a concert that includes an organ, consider image stabilization.

If you insist.

Young artist in Australia ( I think this is before he met up with Joe Pass )

Joe Pass apparently taught him some new techniques and his style changed, I'm not sure I haven't payed that close attention.

Older artist in Tucson telling anecdotes about Joe Pass and Robert Blake:

(I've performed on this exact same stage. I love the Temple of Music and Art)

Queen To Debut Unreleased Freddie Mercury Song, “Face It Alone,” In September

Queen’s Brian May and Roger Taylor this weekend confirmed to the BBC that the band would be releasing a new song featuring the band’s late, legendary frontman, Freddie Mercury, called “Face It Alone.”

Taylor called it, “a little gem from Freddie,” culled from the sessions for their 13th studio album, The Miracle, which was released in 1989. Mercury died two years later.

Taylor said in the interview that they’d “kind of forgotten about” the tune, calling it “wonderful” and “real discovery.”

He then teased, “I think it’s going to be out in September.”

May added, “It was kind of hiding in plain sight. We looked at it many times and thought, ‘Oh no, we can’t really rescue that.’ But in fact, we went in there again and our wonderful engineering team went, ‘Okay, we can do this and this.’ It’s like kind of stitching bits together…But it’s beautiful. It’s touching.”

Very sorry, but I've never been able to get into the worship of a former monarchy. Gosh, the fact that their cars alone are on the wrong side of the road everywhere they conquered (thankfully, we escaped that fate) should be enough reason to repossess all their ill begotten treasure. And didn't we have to fight these fucks to be free from the "empire"?

But that's just me.
