I've taught non-reading adults. He can learn simple symbols enough to recognize his name without learning to read.

That said, Eric Trump does have a degree in finance and management from Georgetown University, so it's probably a safe bet that this isn't the only symbol he can recognize.

That seems to be a line that's going around the right wing right now. I read the other day about someone tweeting "there are no pronouns on the constitution" when, of course, the first word of the US constitution is a pronoun.
