Much appreciated.
You’re probably right about trying to look clever.

I mean he just got used in a publicity stunt by noted meglomaniac Kanye West, and people are paying more attention to West and reporting on what HE said.
It was fun imagining the fuses popping and steam pipes bursting in Trump's ego-brain when Kanye West suggested that Trump be West's running mate in 2024!

It must be rather like being offered a dog shit sandwich – "did I really hear that right?"

It’s the realization to Trump that West respects him as much as Trump respects Pence. Also, too, West is only asking Trump to be on his ticket in order to pull in Trump’s supporters, so Trump is just a nobody, a means to an end. West wants to use all the hard work  Trump has done for his own benefit.

Jimmy Kimmel Says Seized Trump Photos Show 'He's Even Weirder Than We Thought'
The late-night host spots an odd item in the list of things taken from Mar-a-Lago by the FBI.

Jimmy Kimmel spotted something unusual in Donald Trump’s latest legal gripe, with his attorneys complaining the FBI took personal items during its search of his Mar-a-Lago club over the summer ― including pictures of Celine Dion.

“What is he doing with multiple pictures of [Celine Dion]?” Kimmel asked. “Is it possible he’s even weirder than we thought he was?”

Kimmel also wondered why the ex-president is trying to keep anything secret at this point given what’s already known.

“We already know he cheated on his wife. We know he cheated on his taxes. He cheated on business deals. He gives almost nothing to charity. And he tried to get an election overturned. Unless he’s also secretly the chupacabra, what’s left to hide?”

The Guardian: Trump was urged publicly and privately to denounce Fuentes in the aftermath of the Mar-a-Lago dinner — but Trump eschewed making disavowals and none of the statements from the campaign or his Truth Social account criticized Fuentes.

Looks to me that this is the beginning of the end of his presidential campaign. There are few and not the qualified that will want to join a campaign where the former guy will leave them with the stink of far right extremist association.

I think when your arguments routinely get rejected by judges across the whole breadth of the political spectrum, it is perhaps more to do with the lack of merit to your arguments, than to any political influence (real or imagined) acting upon the judges.

I think that Trump literally cannot conceive of his arguments being meritless (or that he is guilty of any crime). In order to assuage that cognitive dissonance he much constantly come up with wilder and wilder theories about how he is the target of a witch hunt by an ever-increasing number of people who are only against him because of partisanship, jealousy, or any of the other reasons that would motivate him were he in their place. His entire political career has been a test of our country's willingness and ability to hold politicians accountable for their actions.

So far, we're failing.

If it's a "Republican Judge," they rule against him because they bend over backwards to not show favoritism. If it is a "Democrat Judge," then they rule against him because he is a Republican.

It's all pain, no gain!

Winning!

Donnie, ya maybe think that "paranoia strikes deep; into your life it will creep; it starts when you're always afraid; step out of line, the man comes, and takes you away."

For What It's Worth, anyway.

No. Its the thought that if he succeeds once with them, that means he is not a loser and it will wipe clean all the times he lost with them. Just like after he got booed at a game he started going to every game till he found one where he was cheered.

Why do they follow me?

It's just my fantasy, yeah

Who can it be knocking at my door?
Make no sound, tip-toe across the floor
If he hears, he'll knock all day
I'll be trapped and here I'll have to stay
I've done no harm, I keep to myself
There's nothing wrong with my state of mental health
I like it here with my childhood friend
Here they come, those feelings again!
