It's easy. There isn't one. It's simply an attempt to get a list of people that PP has helped with transitioning.

Iran summons Australian ambassador over ‘offensive’ LGBTQ+ social media post
Murray Watt ‘concerned’ at reaction from Iranian government to an Instagram photo of embassy staff in Tehran celebrating Wear it Purple day

Iran has summoned the Australian ambassador in Tehran over a “disrespectful” photo celebrating an annual LGBTQ+ awareness day posted to the embassy Instagram page, a state-run news agency reported.

The head of the Regional Affairs Office of the Foreign Ministry condemned the Australian embassy’s “offensive” post as disrespectful and contrary to Iranian and Islamic culture and international norms, Islamic Republic News Agency reported.

“Today, and every day, we’re dedicated to creating a supportive environment, where everyone, especially LGBTQIA+ youth, can feel proud to be themselves.”

The unnamed foreign ministry official said the post contravened international law and the Vienna convention on diplomatic relations, mandating respect for the host country’s laws and regulations.

Homosexuality is illegal in Iran and punishable by death under the sharia penal code. Under a religious decree issued 30 years ago transgender people are allowed to seek gender transition surgery.

The IRNA report said McConville had responded by saying Australia had no intention of insulting Iran or Iranian culture and the post made no reference to Iran.

As of Wednesday morning the post was still up on Instagram.

The federal workplace relations minister, Murray Watt, told ABC News Breakfast on Wednesday he was “concerned to see this reaction from the Iranian government to the activities of the Australian embassy”.

“We’re very proud about the fact that our embassies promote Australian values internationally. And I’m very concerned to see an overseas government seemingly take action against an Australian embassy that is upholding Australian values.”

Some good news here -

Pentagon restores honor to more than 800 LGBTQ+ veterans after ‘don’t ask, don’t tell’ discharge review
More than 800 LGBTQ+ veterans kicked out of the military for their sexuality under the “don’t ask, don’t tell” policy will have their honor restored, the Pentagon announced Tuesday.

The announcement comes one year after the Defense Department began proactively reviewing 851 records of former service members discharged during “don’t ask, don’t tell” who were believed to be eligible for a change of status but had not yet applied. Of those, 96.8% — 824 veterans across the Air Force, Army, Navy and Marine Corps — will receive an honorable discharge.

“We will continue to honor the service and the sacrifice of all our troops — including the brave Americans who raised their hands to serve but were turned away because of whom they love,” Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin said in a statement.

“Don’t ask, don’t tell” was signed into law in 1993 by President Bill Clinton to allow gay men and lesbians to serve in the military as long as they did not make their sexual orientation public. Those who chose to disclose were discharged.

Utah state school board member Natalie Cline is under fire after posting photos of a high school basketball player, questioning her gender and prompting threats against the girl.

Why it matters: Anti-transgender fervor is escalating in Utah, where lawmakers have passed laws restricting sports participation, health care and, most recently, bathroom access.

Driving the news: Cline, an elected member of the Utah State School Board, posted the photos Tuesday on Facebook, inciting a dogpile of comments identifying the girl, criticizing her appearance.

The girl is now under police protection, the Salt Lake Tribune reports, as Granite School District ramps up security at her school.

Cline removed the post Wednesday after she learned the girl was not transgender and posted a statement arguing "it is normal to pause and wonder if people are what they say they are because of the push to normalize transgenderism in our society."

No you fucking asshole, it is Not Normal. You are a weird hateful shit who is not qualified to sit on a school board or in the home of decent folk. F U

The other side: The student's parents told KSL-TV they want Cline to resign.

Equality Utah, an LGBTQ+ advocacy group, and state Democratic lawmakers also called for her resignation.

Yes, I guess it is normal for hateful trans/homophobes to express their bigotry, especially when they hold public office, and I wish it were normal for them to lose their privilege when they do. I'm guessing though that Cline will neither resign nor be forced out. I'd be very happy to have guessed wrong.
