The Justice Department has said that Wynn was approached to work with China by longtime GOP and Trump fundraiser Elliott Broidy, who worked under Wynn as deputy RNC finance chairman after Trump’s 2016 election as president. Broidy pleaded guilty in October 2020 to acting as an unregistered foreign agent, admitting to accepting millions of dollars to secretly lobby the Trump administration for Malaysian and Chinese interests. Broidy agreed to cooperate with prosecutors in exchange for a recommendation of leniency at sentencing and to forfeit $6.6 million, and to forfeit $6.6 million, but was granted a full pardon by Trump the day before he left office in Jan. 2021.

The effort to persuade Trump to accede to Beijing’s requests involved relaying the purported wishes of the most senior members of the Chinese government, according to the suit against Wynn.

No wonder BFF Xi got to sit down with the former guy at M-a-L to coffee and chocolate cake rather than a standard WH reception.

Remember ACORN? This is way worse, and ACORN flagged the fraudulent entries for review (by law, they were required to submit the fraudulent entries). Not the first time this has happened (I remember several cases where incumbents were expected to cruise to victory but failed to get enough valid signatures), but never so widespread.

Leading GOP Candidates For Michigan Guv Could Be Disqualified Over Wave of Fraudulent Signatures

By Matt Shuham
May 23, 2022 8:20 p.m. Updated May 23, 2022 9:01 p.m.

A signature forgery scandal has turned the race for the GOP nomination to be Michigan’s next governor on its head: Two leading Republican candidates did not collect enough signatures to qualify for the primary ballot after invalid signatures were excluded, according to a report from the state’s Bureau of Elections.

The Bureau of Elections reports will now go to the Board of State Canvassers, which will vote Thursday on which candidates qualify to appear on the ballot for the state’s Aug. 2 primaries.

Thirty-six petition circulators — campaign workers hired to collect signatures — “submitted fraudulent petition sheets consisting entirely of invalid signatures,” according to the Bureau. In all, according to the Bureau’s report Monday, these circulators submitted at least 68,000 invalid signatures across nominating petitions for 10 candidates.

Both leading Republican candidates submitted well above the 15,000 signatures necessary, but were subsequently hit with complaints that that counts contained fraudulent signatures.

I will be curious to see if this was a case of the campaigns being scammed, or some consulting group of true believers.

My guess the campaign put their workers under pressure, "deliver x pages by the evening or you're brunt toast" and workers decided to invent signatures when they recognized the voters were not willing to subscribe in the numbers expected

The owner of the company that ran the signature campaigns has a history of fraudulent signature drives. https://www.arlnow.com/2011/09/20/head- ... ds-guilty/

From the twitter comments, looks like this is one of the fruits of Joel Greenberg’s spilling his guts to authorities.

There was a comment that linked to an open article but I can't find it now. Floridapolitcs.com or something like that maybe?
