I saw that too. Just a reminder for folks who think this isn't about power and control.

It. Was. Never. About. The. Babies.
I think you meant "is" there...
Nope.
Sorry, misread, there's a lot for me to catch up on when I get home from work :bag:

He's not even denying it. And he still won.
The 40-year-old has been incarcerated in the Boone County Jail since March after police said he told investigators he threw a concrete flower pot at his wife, Nikki Wilhoite, the night before and dropped her body over the side of a bridge.

GOP State Rep Filmed Repeatedly Screaming 'Murderers' At Abortion-Rights Activists
https://news.yahoo.com/gop-state-rep-fi ... 31039.html
Fri, May 6, 2022
A state Republican lawmaker was filmed screaming at abortion rights protesters from the steps of the New Hampshire State House on Thursday, calling them “murderers” and accusing them of “killing babies.”

“Shame on all of you. Shame on you, killing babies,” Rep. Susan DeLemus screamed in the footage shared by Colin Booth, legislative communications director for the New Hampshire Democratic Party.

DeLemus also pointed to members of the crowd and yelled, “You’re a murderer” repeatedly.

“I’m a murderer. I murdered my own baby,” she continued, apparently referring to an abortion she has spoken about in the past. In 2012, while arguing in favor of a bill that would require women to wait 24 hours before undergoing an abortion, DeLemus said she’d had an abortion more than two decades earlier, and had “murdered my baby.”

Yeah, the woman whose husband proudly sported a Ma Deuce penile substitute and supports gun rights to the max calls rights protestors “murderers.” Hey, Susie, what about Ammo’s friends who murdered two officers and a civilian in Las Vegas?

She feels guilt over her decision. I’d be surprised if many women don’t. Abortion is not a light decision. When medically necessary, it’s a heartbreaking one. But the point is it needs to be the woman’s decision, not the state’s.

Now about guns that are used designed and used to murder . . . The more the merrier.

And, of course: Susan DeLemus encouraged Taitz during the 2012* New Hampshire ballot challenge:

DeLemus wagged her finger at election officials, and ... Obama remained on the ballot.

* The challenge to the 2012 election occurred in ... 2011.

Megan McCain promotes her new book Bad Republican. Did you know she was John McCain’s daughter? Well, now you do.

Megan McCain has been getting crap because the book has sold under three hundred copies in the week and a half or so since it came out. She maintains that they are very happy with the audiobook sales.

“Rock the Red” event draws those claiming American decay is close by
10 hrs ago
https://www.postandcourier.com/politics ... 6ee81.html
GREENVILLE — “We have been exposed to a psychological operation for well over a decade in the lead-up to the taking down of America,” the Arizonan in Western wear told the crowd of 100 gathered in the ballroom of a luxury hotel.

The speaker, Arizona state representative and current secretary of state candidate Mark Finchem, then offered several reasons outlining America’s steps toward decay, including a disbelief Democrat Joe Biden could have possibly defeated Republican President Donald Trump in the 2020 elections, leading Finchem to spearhead a heavily scrutinized — and dubiously conducted — audit of his state’s election.

He then noted the influx of undocumented immigrants at the southern border he claimed were intent on upending American society.

And behind it all, a bipartisan political establishment seeking to tear the country down.

“That’s the end goal to the people who are engaged in this,” he continued. “It’s not about the Democrats taking power. That is what they want you to think this is about. This is about the takedown of the United States.”

:snippity:

The picture of the conservative movement painted May 7 was not only one of moral conviction, but also a religious one under attack by institutions gone amok.

Leigh Valentine, who sold anti-aging products for 14 years on QVC, called on people who took the COVID-19 vaccine to “repent” for their sins, and shared a dream she had in 1987 where God told her Trump was destined to become president. She criticized her former company for removing her from the channel over her outspoken support of Trump.

“We have to stop supporting organizations that hate our country,” she said.

David Sumrall, a conservative activist, screened his documentary of the Jan. 6 riots depicting those who stormed the U.S. Capitol as peaceful and the Capitol Police as aggressors. The footage focused on police-inflicted violence and protesters singing patriotic songs over the violence that dominated cable news.

“The FBI is woke. They’ve been weaponized against us,” Sumrall told the audience. “If you don’t like CRT, the FBI is gonna be knocking on your doors next just for being a part of this movement.”
The DNC is taking the hammer to its primary calendar. Does SC still have a role to play?

Dozens of mail ballots are going to a GOP ward leader’s South Philly P.O. box, raising ‘ballot harvesting' concerns
The effort, which comes as Republicans attack mail voting, may violate state law.

by Jeremy Roebuck and Jonathan Lai
Updated May 7, 2022

A mail ballot mystery is unfolding at an otherwise unremarkable post office box in South Philadelphia.

City elections officials last week received applications from more than three dozen Republican voters across a pocket of the neighborhood. Those applications requested that mail ballots be delivered not to the voters’ homes, but to P.O. Box 54705, an address registered to a recently formed GOP political action committee, according to state data.

Many of those voters told The Inquirer they have no idea why their ballots were sent there. Some said they never even applied to vote by mail.

And yet one out of every six Republican ballot requests in the 26th Ward — the section of deep South Philly south of Passyunk Avenue and west of Broad Street that voted twice for Donald Trump — listed the post office box. That made it the largest single destination for ballots in the city other than nursing homes or elections offices.

“This doesn’t even make any sense,” said Rose DeSantis, 35, who was surprised when told by a reporter that a ballot she says she never requested had been sent to the P.O. box this week. “You would think that would raise some red flags.”

At a time when Republican lawmakers and candidates have attacked mail voting and falsely portrayed it as rife with abuse, the ballot requests and interviews with voters reveal an effort by one GOP operative to use mail ballots that may violate or at least push the boundaries of state law.

GOP staffers fired after possible ‘ballot harvesting’ operation found in Pa.

Updated: May. 11, 2022, 5:52 p.m. | Published: May. 11, 2022, 8:40 a.m.
By Jeremy Roebuck, Jonathan Lai and Chris Brennan, The Philadelphia Inquirer (TNS)

PHILADELPHIA — The fallout from the discovery of a potential GOP “ballot harvesting” operation in South Philadelphia continued Tuesday, as two state party staffers lost their jobs, the matter became fodder for attacks in the Republican primary for governor, and lawmakers on both sides of the aisle jockeyed to define just what the situation said — or didn’t — about the security of voting by mail.

Republican Party officials fired Shamus O’Donnell, 27, and C.J. Parker, 24, both of whom had been affiliated with the Republican Registration Coalition, the political action committee behind the South Philadelphia mail ballot operation, according to four party sources familiar with the matter.

Prior to his termination, O’Donnell, the PAC’s former treasurer and a Republican ward leader in Northeast Philadelphia, had worked as a field organizer for the state party, most recently on the campaign of state Senate candidate Sam Oropeza. Parker, also a GOP ward leader in the Northeast, had worked as a personal aide to state party Chair Lawrence Tabas.

O’Donnell and Parker declined to comment Tuesday, and party officials, including Tabas, did not respond to requests for comment.

But the sources who described the terminations — and spoke on condition of anonymity because they were not authorized to discuss the matter — said the party’s decision to cut ties with the two men stemmed from an Inquirer story last week that raised questions about the PAC’s work registering people in South Philadelphia to vote by mail.
