One of my Jewish friends has pointed out to me that back in the day a good Jewish boy would not reach age 33 without being married. His mama wouldn’t have allowed it.

I doubt that the creator of that image meant to start a theological or even historical discussion.

However, I have always doubted the Christian church's teaching that Jesus never married. At that time, in that place, a 30 year old unmarried Jewish man would be unheard of. Whether it was Mary Magdalene as some have claimed, or someone else, is certainly unclear.

The way I heard it, and I’m sure those will correct me if it’s wrong, that a 30-year-old single man would not be allowed around children.
