“The Bipartisan Legal Advisory Group voted 3-2 to file a brief with the D.C. Circuit in the case against Steve Bannon.

This group consists of Johnson, Scalise, Emmer, Democratic Leader Hakeem Jeffries and Minority Whip Katherine Clark.

Care to guess the party of the three that voted for this?

I was thinking about that very thing. He should be getting out soon; maybe he can provide some pointers for Stevie.

Is there anyway for congress to somehow undo his conviction by claiming the referral for indictment was somehow illegitimate?

Let me see the legal backing for this "illegitimacy" :?: Did the Congressional Research Service back you with anything :?: Why did you not already apply it on the impeachments of the doubly impeached candidate for impotus :?:

No.

Especially because this Congress is not the Congress that created the J6 committee.

SB this weekend: can I actually pack anything for prison?

Me this weekend: making sure the boat has gas; checking on condiment supplies; cleaning off decorations (spider webs, you know) and putting them out; stocking up on the dog's CBD; not thinking about prison at all. *whistles*

LOL he's whining about "conservative media" getting taken down, then he lists them off:

Alex Jones
Jim Hoft
Epoch Times
James OKeefe

I agree Sloppy Steve belongs on this list.

Is it wrong that I'm waiting for someone to write a Jenny/867-5309 parody since the 0 could easily be taken off the front of Bannon's inmate number to make the line scan properly? Because if that's wrong, I don't think I want to be right.

Steve Bannon 'quite concerned' his prison mates will be 'dangerous criminals': report

Steve Bannon — former President Donald Trump's chief White House strategist — will report to federal prison on Monday. And according to a recent report, he's quietly fretting about the people he'll be with while incarcerated.

The Daily Beast reported that an unnamed source close to Bannon said the far-right activist is "quite concerned" about the fellow inmates he'll encounter throughout his four-month federal prison sentence at FCI Danbury, in Connecticut. Bannon, whose Federal Bureau of Prisons inmate number is 05635-509, will notably have a tougher time than fellow Trump advisor Peter Navarro, who is at a federal prison camp in Florida.

According to the Beast, Navarro's camp is "much less strict on inmates" and his biggest concerns are likely "boredom and slow communications." Bannon, on the other hand, has a separate criminal detainer for allegedly defrauding supporters of an online crowdfunding campaign to build a wall along the Southern border, for which he is still awaiting trial in Manhattan. Because of that, Bannon's sentence will be served in a harsher environment.

One of the Beast's unnamed sources told the publication that Bannon "will be on a more rigid day-to-day schedule that has less freedom of movement, stricter check-ins and will be surrounded by more dangerous criminals." Reporter Josh Fiallo noted that FCI Danbury's inmate population of roughly 800 prisoners includes "sex offenders and violent criminals."

I think what they're saying is his detainer is gonna hurt him when he goes through the classification process. Classification is like a pre-sentence report, but for new arrivals, where they use a point system to determine if he is minimum, medium, etc. security level. They say Danbury mostly has dorm style units. At minimum security, he could have free movement out onto the yard during certain times of the day, where he would mix with inmates from other units. If he scores too high, he may have to go into a cell with a cellmate. They would probably have a few hours a day where they open the cells and let them go into the day room, but if they go out onto the yard, it may just be inmates from that unit, and they are escorted any time they go outside to another area. With maximum security, they are alone in the cell for 23 hours and for the other 1 hour, they are put in like a 6x10 foot cage outside and can take showers 2 or 3 times a week.

The detainer, I don't think that's enough to bump him up to medium, but classification can take some time. Most places will automatically classify new arrivals as medium or higher until the full classification is done. Transients are also treated as medium or higher in most places, so if he has a court date, the facility that he gets moved to will give him the same treatment. This is to help prevent mixing some really dangerous dudes with others who are trying to play by the rules and get out as soon as possible.

But classification is not a perfect system. Just because someone is minimum security, it doesn't mean they are not truly dangerous. If sloppy Steve is in a dorm and too scared to go to the showers, someone is gonna eventually take one for the team and get him out of the unit by any means necessary.

Grace Chong is such a clueless idiot who is so embarrassed by the bullish*t she peddles that she blocked me to spare herself the humiliation. That's how I think of it, anyway. 8-)
