“Man used 'slapping therapy as diabetes cure' - court”:
https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/articles/c80eknd3ww8o
“A man charged over the death of a 71-year-old woman at a slapping therapy workshop had promoted the practice as a "cure" for diabetes, a prosecutor said.
Hongchi Xiao, 61, of Cloudbreak in California, appeared at Winchester Crown Court today for the start of what was expected to be a three-week trial.
He was charged in November with manslaughter by gross negligence after the death of Danielle Carr-Gomm, 71 at a workshop in Seend, Wiltshire, on 20 October 2016, but pleaded not guilty.
Mr Xiao, the prosecution said, led Mrs Carr-Gomm - who had Type 1 diabetes - to believe insulin was a "poison" and that her condition could be cured through his therapy.”

Edit: There were birthers who decided that Doc and I enjoyed putting gerbils in our anuses, just for fun, and for months the primary birther website was obsessed with the accusation. Never a day went by without memes and craziness. Howsoever, like all the other birther lies (that they themselves pulled out of their butts), it eventually fell flat of its own stupidity.

There's a bridge on I20 that apparently has a badly engineered angle to the curve because about 2-3 times a year an 18 wheeler goes over it. Our dumps are usually chickens (frozen and live) or produce of some sort. The media almost always does a aerial shot of the people gathered on the street below scavenging the food. One time it was a load of Levi jeans and those went faster than the food does,Foggy wrote: ↑Fri Jul 19, 2024 12:29 pm Tractor-trailer overturns dumping thousands of gallons of teriyaki sauce on I-440 east in Raleigh
