That's hilarious, Bob. Looks like the almost spooky predictor Peter H. Burnett is owed a huge apology. Gosh, seemed like they were THISCLOSE to victory! Realist and I were SO CLOSE to PANICKING and grabbing our Go Bags.

The stockpile of birfer tears was running low so this breaks the draught. Excited to see the comments from the P&E Brain Trust.

It's way past time for Laity to send more letters to Congress and reveal all the folks that are onboard with his brilliant plan. Where's an update on that, Laity? Stop posting about abortion, that's not going to affect him, and get going on those eligibility challenges. He's barely scratched the surface. What a cowardly quitter.

Here are Rharon's hilariously indignant comments from June 26 in her second article, which (of course) she did not update when she posted the DISMISSED third article on July 1. The third article's artwork should have been that image of a guy with a cigar blowing up in his face. On a happy note, she's still good for a giggle... 14 years of FAIL and she just can't stop! She is committed to entertaining us.
The Post & Email consulted Kern’s Facebook page prior to Burnett’s provision of a link, at our request, following two comments he made claiming Kern “announced on her Facebook page that her case was dismissed” and, when further questioned by this writer, that her “posting on Facebook implies it either was dismissed or she knows the dismissal is inevitable.”

Burnett’s initial comment is invisible to readers due to the number of comments submitted in response to our latest article on the subject, an issue of which The Post & Email was unaware until today*. However, the comment appears below the article in the Dashboard.

Despite Burnett’s assertions, other than posting the comment that “Minnesota does not vet the citizenship of federal candidates but provides the appearance of doing so through the Affidavit of Candidacy” (shown above) following the hearing, Kern has not commented on the hearing or what she expects Sullivan’s ruling might be. Rather, it is Burnett who has prognisticated at length as to what he believes, or desires, the outcome to be.

As most of our readers are aware, knowingly posting false information is cause for a commenter being permanently banned.

The Post & Email will report on Sullivan’s decision after it is issued.
* Well, of course -- the HUGE VOLUME of comments at the P&E would overwhelm anybody. Thank goodness there's a full-time union staff to triage there, but even Mr. Burnett's comment was overlooked by the crack team.

That is really one of my very favorite lines ever by Sharon Rondeau in The Post and Email in that story:

As most of our readers are aware, knowingly posting false information is cause for a commenter being permanently banned.

:rotflmao:

Maybe that's why only a couple of people post there -- all birthers are liars. But how is Sharon herself able to post? Should we ask for a policy clarification in the comments? :smoking:

After three articles by Sharon, AJ Kern has SOARED from THREE to FIVE Twitter followers. Winning!

This really cracked me up.

Rondeau's three remaining birthers repeatedly lie, and Rondeau knows they are lying. Kerchner, for example, has repeatedly said Obama said he was born in Queen's Hospital, and even Rondeau knows Obama never said that. Yet they don't get threatened with bans.

They also habitually post personal insults, which is another policy that Rondeau ignores, unless she wants to chide someone trolling the birthers.

And recently a commenter (and frequent P&E contributor) threatened to murder a judge. Rondeau originally approved the comment, but then deleted it when someone :smoking: suggested law enforcement doesn't take kindly to such things.

To say nothing of the P&E's pesky spam filter and dashboard that habitually squelch comments that are completely within Rondeau's policies.

Help needed:

What is the SCOTUS case the birthers always pointed to, wherein the dissent contains the statement about there being no argument that a person with two parents born on US soil is a natural born citizen, but that the status of a person with only one parent on US soil was up for debate. Massive paraphrase.

Not a dissent, but I think you are thinking of Minor v. Happersett, 88 U.S. (21 Wall.) 162 (1875)
At common-law, with the nomenclature of which the framers of the Constitution were familiar, it was never doubted that all children born in a country of parents who were its citizens became themselves, upon their birth, citizens also. These were natives, or natural-born citizens, as distinguished from aliens or foreigners. Some authorities go further and include as citizens children born within the jurisdiction without reference to the citizenship of their parents. As to this class there have been doubts, but never as to the first. For the purposes of this case it is not necessary to solve these doubts.

This is one of those double edged sword'y things for Birfoons.

They like to say "LOOK.....TWO PARENTS....!!!!" without looking at the text

Then the forget that if this so probative it also EXPLICTY states that British Common Law at the time of Founders is the source.... which burns Vattel and a pile of other imaginary verions such as

Mother was too young to "confer" citizenship
Adoption (which never occurred) invalidates citizenship automatically
etc

Mario didn't kill electrons. No, he sucked the energy from them until they morosely drifted away to try out as trainee neutrinos. Which proved Mario won.

WOTV [AP]: Arizona's Arpaio narrows rival's lead in comeback attempt:
Joe Arpaio, the 90-year-old former Phoenix metro sheriff who was ousted in 2016 by voters frustrated with his headline-grabbing tactics and legal troubles, has narrowed his opponent’s lead in the race for mayor of the affluent suburb where he has lived for more than two decades.
Accurate: Arpaio now trails 4,686-4,220 (53%-47%).
Arpaio, who is attempting his third comeback attempt since being voted out as sheriff, said he was waiting for ballots that were dropped off at polling places on Tuesday to be counted. The race was too close to call, but he said he believes those voters will strongly support him.
CALL THE NINJAS!!!
Arpaio was crushed by a Democratic challenger in 2016 after 24 years in office as sheriff and was convicted the next year of criminal contempt of court for disobeying a judge’s order to stop traffic patrols that targeted immigrants, though he was later pardoned by then-President Donald Trump.

Arpaio then finished third in a Republican primary for a U.S. Senate seat in 2018 and second in the GOP primary in a 2020 bid to win back the sheriff’s post.

In both of those attempts, Arpaio lost the vote in Fountain Hills.

Arpaio, a skilled political fundraiser who spent more than $12 million in his 2016 sheriff’s campaign, has shelled out $161,000 in the mayor’s race — six times the amount spent by Dickey.

Dickey said that when she first learned Arpaio was running against her, she was unsure how his candidacy would affect the race. She ultimately concluded that it didn’t change it very much except that he has a fundraising advantage and notoriety and she did not change her campaigning.
Stone cold!

Of course:
While his defiant streak played well with voters for many years, Arpaio faced heavy criticism for taking on policies that he knew were controversial and racking up $147 million in taxpayer-funded legal bills.

Though he billed himself as the toughest sheriff in America, his agency botched the investigations of more than 400 sex-crimes complaints made to his office.
