I told one of the political section staff at the Embassy today about this and she started giggling like a fiend and says she must find this person's account now and start reading. I was all "my work here is done."

Sending lots of love and positive energy for Queen Elizabeth...
Queen under medical supervision at Balmoral
The Queen is under medical supervision at Balmoral after doctors became concerned for her health, Buckingham Palace has said.
"Following further evaluation this morning, the Queen's doctors are concerned for Her Majesty's health and have recommended she remain under medical supervision," a statement said.
"The Queen remains comfortable and at Balmoral."
Prince Charles has travelled to Balmoral.
The Duchess of Cornwall has also travelled there and the Duke of Cambridge is on his way.
The announcement comes after the Queen, 96, pulled out of a virtual Privy Council on Wednesday, with doctors advising her to rest.
When family members travel then it looks not too good.

No, it doesn't. Heard from two UK reporters on CNN - usually when news breaks and the networks go to rolling coverage, if it really is a nothing burger the Palace will swat them down - but in this case that hasn't happened.

Given the circumstances, my job, and my specific portfolio here, the next 2 weeks or so are going to be the busiest of my adult professional life, and I may run silent. I hope not. Logging in here is one of my pressure valves. But I may have to do without. My apologies to you all in advance if so. I will miss you for the brief while.

A little bit of interesting history on the anthem in the article.

God Save the King being sung (on Friday).
Here is the prior version from her 85th birthday. I am not British (not a subject, just a descendent), but I do find it gets dusty in here when I hear it now.

I have such a hard time understanding what they're singing because I've got "My Country 'Tis of Thee" blaring in my freaking skull... I can't seem to get it to shut up long enough to catch the words.

What are the lyrics to 'God Save The Queen/King'?
God save our gracious Queen/King,
Long live our noble Queen/King,
God save the Queen/King!
Send her/him victorious,
Happy and glorious,
Long to reign over us,
God save the Queen/King!
Source with short historical background
What are the lyrics to the UK's national anthem, 'God Save The King/Queen'? 'God Save The Queen/King' has been sung by Brits since 1744, but how many of us actually know the words...?
