Looking around and some past Fulton County mugshots, it appears to be the same equipment and location so they must have a nicer camera which is much easier to get now (thought they need to remember to lower the shades on the window to the right when it is bright outside).

I think the bigger issue is the subject. Most mugshots you see you have folks who were arrested somewhere, cuffed, tossed into the back of a squad car, sat around, got to the jail, sat around among a bunch of other folks in holding (and some of them were probably not enjoyable company), and then eventually run through the process, likely rather roughly. They really have no interest in posing nicely and sitting up and the person booking them was probably in a hurry. Oh yeah, some of them may still have been heavily self-medicated or less than sober.

This group skipped to the front of the line, and given their position in life, among other considerations, the booking officers likely were nicer to them than the standard ones being booked. These are officers who are interacting with many well-known political people this week. They are likely to treat them differently and likely not intentionally. They could easily get a bit star-struck. I have to remember not to assume my thinking on somebody else as even if they do not agree with the politics, they have famous people in front of their camera.

Some people are claiming the Mugshot is fake, pasted from another picture. I have no idea one way or another.

Probably thinks being patriotically dressed for the shot will help with his fundraising.

FYI, and FWIW, various social media sites saying that the pic being circulated is not the actual mug shot. They show another piccy that has been artfully superimposed on the Fulton County background.

We've seen photos of him standing next to Obama and they're the same height; Obama's 6'1", & Trump wears lifts.
I also am 6'1", weigh 265 (used to be a lot more) and, to my eye, it looks like Trump's got at least 20-30 lbs on me.
