Why would Ted Cruz eat out at a restaurant? You know the entire kitchen staff spits in his food.

Fauci Testifies That Legalizing Marijuana Would Help People Who Have to Listen to Ted Cruz Talk
WASHINGTON (The Borowitz Report)—Adding his voice to the movement to legalize cannabis at the federal level, Dr. Anthony Fauci testified that marijuana could be helpful to people who have to listen to Senator Ted Cruz speak.

“Medically speaking, there is no way to completely alleviate the pain of hearing Ted Cruz’s voice,” Fauci told the Senate. “But, anecdotally, I can tell you that marijuana helps.”

Fauci said that a septuagenarian man who had previously suffered while listening to Cruz noted “marked improvement” when he ingested marijuana prior to another encounter.

“The results were dramatic,” he said. “His feelings of anger, depression, and despair were all greatly reduced.”

“Sitting here before you today, I can tell you that people are breaking the law in order to survive experiencing Ted Cruz,” he said. “They should be allowed to come out of the shadows.”

Probably a staged event for Cruz.

Where did his entry fee and his chips come from? Campaign funds? :boxing:

Ok.. so the Cruz was just posting about playing poker, not actually playing poker, because obviously that was the most important thing an elected representative could be doing that day...

I mean, it's even more self inflicted than I originally thought. It wasn't just an event pre-scheduled that he went ahead and did, it was something that he had already done in the past that he decided would be good to post at that time. Or a soon to be unemployed minion did it.

Nobody cares about blatant lies in the land of alternative facts anymore.
Kyle Griffin @kylegriffin1 wrote: Texas has its own electrical grid, so either the senator is lying — knowingly — or he has no idea how the state he represents actually runs.
Senator Ted Cruz @SenTedCruz wrote: The impact of President Biden being beholden to the Green New Deal radicals in his party has electricity costs through the roof in Texas.

AKA electricity problems in Texas, here's why that's a problem for Biden...

Ironically, if Texas participated in the regional grid interconnect their electric rates would probably be lower. Their system would certainly be more reliable.

but don't mess with Texas, I guess.

Attempting to figure out if Cruz is blatantly lying or really stupid is useless because even if he happened to get it right someday, he would still be lying. This is because he could care less what the facts actually are. His only intent is to sway, or often, mislead others to get them to vote or contribute to him.

To do so with no concern for the actual facts is an act of deception, lying, even if the facts actually happen to match your story. The truth was not part of his intent, so he's lying.

The Republican ideology is "Stupid". Just one word, "Stupid".

It's a vaccine.

Like the one we give for polio, a disease that has to be explained to most people not on Social Security because despite being something every parent feared every summer for most of human history has been almost eradicated for most of my life... by a vaccine.

Like the one we give for Smallpox, a disease that has killed more humans than any other single cause save War since we started banging on the rocks, and now exists only in secure labs to be studied. Because we developed a vaccine for it.

Like Mumps, Rubella, Tetanus, Diphtheria or Measles, diseases I grew up in mortal fear of but am sure I have never even heard of anyone I know having in at least 50 years.

But Republicans think making people die is just another good way to own the libs.
