They announced it live on air FWIW as soon the $2M was out, before the rest of the verdict.

Edit: I too strongly suspect that this was a compromise verdict.
Agree, but Ms. Carroll testified that she was not certain that Trump penetrated her with his penis, in part because she could not see it. She was certain about other details of the assault, though.

Of course he will appeal this verdict for years.
Sure. But appealing the verdict costs money. How many lawyers has he gone through? How much can he grift from the base?

Unlimited. They would march through fire for him. Turning over their SocSec checks means nothing.

Which means all the other 'good causes', such as 'election integrity' etc., won't have money coming their way.

There's only so many ways to split that money pie.

And he still has to find a lawyer to keep it going.

I think now might be a good time to remind people that Monica Lewinsky was a willing participant, and that therefore this is, without question, the worst thing any president is on record for doing.

Well, except George Bush made the worst foreign policy decision in our nation's history (the invasion and occupation of a country that hadn't committed any offense against the US).

And Obama wore the worst tan suit. :blackeyebig:

Good, keep this on the front burner through the 2024 election cycle. Watch pubs support a convicted sexual deviant while passing all these anti-abortion laws against women's health and let's see another blue wave.

So, how do we feel about CNN giving someone convicted of sexual battery a Town Hall forum to spout his lies? I know how I feel.

Alas, his cultists won't believe it, and he'll never pay up.

I'd like to see her place a lien on his assets though

We know Trump won’t willingly pay up. Plus, appeal, appeal, appeal. Could she put a lien on his property like all the contractors he stiffed?

Its possible that rape was found not guilty as She wasn't 100% certain he penetrated her with his micro-peen. It was too small to be certain. The assault was digital penetration (ie his fingers) which she was certain of.

3-1 they hold Trump's feet to the fire and Trump walks out like the chicken he truly is.
2-1 his staff talks him into cancelling.

Foggy wrote: Tue May 09, 2023 3:11 pm Okay, now I owe a huge apology to Maybenaut for not improving the poll.

I'm sorry, Maybenaut.
To further explain, she suggested that I add "not liable for rape, but liable for sexual assault/battery" as options in the poll, with the various monetary amounts. But I was being lazy, and I wanted the jury to find him liable for rape, and it only would have taken a minute or two to get the poll done correctly.

It shoulda been:

1. Liable for rape, award > $1 million
2. Liable for rape, award < $1 million
3. Liable for sexual battery, award > $1 million
4. Liable for sexual battery, award < $1 million
5. Defense verdict

... maybe some others, you can have 10 options in a poll.

I repeat, sorry, Maybenaut. :blackeye:

I thought in a town hall that the audience got to ask questions? You think the audience will ignore it?
